How to save the root rot of aloe

1. The main reasons

(1) too much watering: aloe is afraid of waterlogging. If you water too much at one time, or too often, it is easy to cause rotting roots.

(2) bacteria cause: if the watering method is more scientific, then you can consider whether there are bacteria in the roots. If this is the reason, then it must be disinfected when dealing with it.

2. How to deal with it

(1) first, get the plant out of the pot, and then remove the soil around the root. Cut off the rotten part with a sharp knife. Until the healthy stem, must be cut thoroughly, do not leave any rotten part, otherwise it is easy to continue to rot, the area will be larger. After pruning, apply some plant ash to disinfect. After the wound has dried, it is expected to continue to be planted in the basin. It can be properly smeared with rooting element to speed up rooting. Cover with plastic film, about half a month later, you can grow new roots.

(2) if it is observed that the root rot is not particularly serious, it can be done without pruning, but just dry. However, in general, it is recommended to trim it. Otherwise, it will easily lead to the expansion of the rotten part, and it will be difficult to deal with it again.

(3) in addition, the four or five leaves in the lower part had better be removed to reduce evaporation.

(4) the plant should be placed in a semi-shaded place with good ventilation to speed up the healing of the wound. Pay attention to less watering during this time.
