When the soil temperature was stable at 1-2 ℃, strawberry roots began to grow at first, and then gradually sent out new roots and absorbed nutrients with the increase of soil temperature. At 10 ℃, strawberry roots began to form, and the optimum temperature was 15-20 ℃. The optimum temperature for shoot growth and development was 20: 26 ℃. Strawberries cultivated in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces (covered with plastic film) generally enter the peak growing season from mid-late February to March, and mature and appear on the market in early April. Therefore, strengthening spring management is a key link in strawberry growth, early fruiting, high quality and high yield. five measures need to be taken:

Strawberry spring tube

1. Ploughing and clearing old leaves in time. After the beginning of spring, ploughing and weeding should be done in time, but the ploughing should be shallower, so as to strictly prevent the soil clods from crushing the seedlings. And clear the drainage ditch to avoid waterlogging damage. At the same time, remove the old, withered and diseased leaves of strawberries to prevent the spread of bacteria.

2. Pay close attention to fertilization and promote early development. After a winter dormancy, after the return of spring, the temperature rises, strawberries begin to grow and topdressing in time, which can promote early growth, form new leaf area as soon as possible, increase the number of effective flowers and increase the rate of fruit setting. Because strawberry has shallow roots and is sensitive to fertilizer, in order to avoid using chemical fertilizers such as ammonium bicarbonate and ammonium sulfate, we should mainly use quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer urea, compound fertilizer and water manure, and the application rate is 5-6 kg urea per mu, 20-25 piculs of water manure and 10-15 kg compound fertilizer. Combined fertilization, watering once. During the flowering and fruiting period, 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate could be sprayed on the leaves for 2-3 times to significantly improve the quality and yield.

3. Do a good job of uncovering and covering the film in time. When the average temperature of the day is around 10 ℃, the film of the small arch shed will be removed at noon and covered in the morning and evening. Do a good job of refining seedlings to prevent sudden excessive temperature difference, affecting the growth of strawberries.

4. Thinning buds and flowers to improve quality. After the inflorescence on the new stem of strawberry, each inflorescence has 10-30 flowers, too many buds, insufficient nutrient supply, weak growth, small fruit and abnormal fruit increase. Therefore, after budding, thin buds should be thinned, and flower thinning should be done in full bloom to provide nutrition for the growth of large fruit and increase the weight of single fruit. It is suitable to keep 2-3 inflorescences per plant and 5 strawberries per inflorescence.

5. Check frequently and control diseases and insect pests. Strawberry plants are short, creeping on the ground, have a long flowering and fruiting period, and are easy to touch the ground. At the same time, there is much spring rain and high humidity in the field, so it is easy to be harmed by diseases and insect pests, so comprehensive measures should be taken. Diseases include virus disease, yellow wilt, gray mold, bud blight, powdery mildew, snake eye disease, etc., which can also be effectively controlled by spraying 200x Bordeaux solution or 2000-fold topzine, zinc, ethyl aluminum and other pesticides in early spring, or spraying with 50% carbendazim. Soil treated with phoxim or dianone can control underground pests. If you find a red spider, you can spray it with Kmante 3000 liquid. It should be noted that during the harvest period, pesticides should be prohibited and poisoning should be strictly prevented.
