First, soaking seeds to promote budding:

The pumpkin seeds were scalded in 100 ℃ hot water for 5 seconds, immediately mixed with cold water, cooled to 40 ℃ ~ 45 ℃, stirred for half an hour, then soaked in clean water for 8 hours for 12 hours, during which the seeds were washed with 30 ℃ warm water for 2 times to remove mucus from the seed surface. After the seeds are fished out, let them dry for two hours, and then germinate after the surface of the seeds is dry. When sprouting, the temperature is 28 ℃ ~ 30 ℃. After 2 ~ 3 days, when the bud grows 0.2~0.5cm, the radicle of the seed is exposed, which is commonly known as white, and then it can be sown. The general amount of seeds per mu is about 200g.

Second, sow seeds at the right time:

In North China, early spring pumpkin seedlings are raised in greenhouse or sunny beds, and the suitable sowing time is from late February to early March. Commonly used seedling tray seedlings, before loading, every cubic meter of seedling substrate mixed with 2 kg of 40% carbendazim powder disinfection. The seedling substrate was sprayed with clean water to make the water content reach 70%. The deep space of 2cm is reserved at the mouth of the cup when the seedling substrate is installed on the plate. One germinated seed was sown in each seedling cup and covered with 2cm thick expanded vermiculite, then the seedling tray was tightly covered with plastic film. It can also be used for direct seeding of the seeds after germination.

Third, seedling management:

After sowing, the temperature was kept at 25 ℃ ~ 30 ℃ in the daytime and 18 ℃ at night. When 60% of the seeds were planted, the plastic film was removed, and the temperature dropped to 20 ℃ ~ 25 ℃ in the daytime and 12 ℃ ~ 15 ℃ at night to prevent the seedlings from overgrowing. When the 2cm of heart leaves is long, the temperature is 25 ℃ ~ 28 ℃ in daytime and 15 ℃ at night. Spray clear water every 5 days during the seedling raising period. The pumpkin seedlings began to increase the amount of air to refine the seedlings and improve the survival rate one week before the pumpkin seedlings were planted with seedling substrate when the seedlings had two leaves.
