After salt poisoning, pigs do not eat, are dispirited, have poor eyesight, are thirsty and drink dirty water, have dry stools, have an unnatural posture, stumble on foot, breathe abnormally, conjunctival congestion, constant chewing and foaming. Some one-way circle, most blindly straight, hit the wall, do not avoid, and then lie down on the ground, sometimes sudden spasm of the head and neck, head up, sometimes swimming. The disease is mostly paroxysmal and occurs every 20 minutes, but in the later stage, it cannot stand up, enter a coma, and die in the coma.

Prevention and treatment: during the Spring Festival and festivals, the water of washing bacon and salted fish and leftovers can be fed to pigs, but do not give too much at one time, because these leftovers contain a lot of salt, pigs are prone to poisoning after eating, and can be mixed with other feed. In case of salt poisoning in pigs, the following rescue measures can be taken:

① immediately stopped feeding high-salt feed and provided adequate drinking water or warm water. ② put blood on ear tip, tail tip and four hooves of poisoned pigs. At the beginning of ③, take oil laxatives (vegetable oil or animal oil). ④ intravenous injection of 60-100ml of 10% calcium gluconate, or 60-100ml of 50% hypertonic glucose, subcutaneous injection of 5-10ml 10% sodium coffee.
