After the end of autumn, the light time is short, the skin temperature is constant, the humidity increases, and the habit of pigs extruding each other to lie down for warmth is beneficial to the growth and reproduction of mites. Pig scabies are easy to occur and spread in pigsty, such as dark and damp, long-term hoarding of feces, breeding of bacteria, poor hygiene of pig skin and so on.

1. Clinical symptoms:

Lesions usually start in the head, eye sockets, cheeks and ears, and then spread to the neck, shoulders, back, both sides of the torso, and limbs. Diseased pig ear back ear center, shoulder blade, back, arm, breast, hindlimb inside hair loss, reverse disorder, extremely thin, enclosure door fence, wall corner often have crusts. At the same time, the skin is exposed, the body temperature diverges a lot, consumes a lot of stored fat, pigs gradually lose weight, and even die of exhaustion. The incubation period of scabies is about 2mi 4 weeks, and pigs of all ages and breeds can be infected. In short, severe itching, hair removal, scab, skin wrinkles or cracks, eczema dermatitis, the affected area extends around and is highly contagious with the characteristics of scabies.

Second, the route of infection:

Sick pigs have direct contact with healthy pigs, or healthy pigs have indirect contact with pens, bedding and utensils contaminated by mites and their eggs. The habit of young pigs lying in piles is an important reason for the rapid spread of scabies. In addition, dark and humid piggery, unhygienic environment and malnutrition can promote the occurrence and development of the disease, especially in rainy days.

Three treatment measures: in order to make the medicine come into full contact with the worm, rinse the affected part of the pig with soapy water or Lysol water, remove the scab and dirt, and then apply the medicine.

1. Directly apply, spray or bathe with 2%-4% trichlorfon solution, once a week for 2-3 times. When treating trichlorfon, do not wash it with alkaline water so as not to cause poisoning.

2. Diformamidine, diluted 500 times with water, rub or spray the affected area, 7-10 days later, repeat again.

3. Except Lai Ling, dilute the affected part 250 times according to the condition of the affected part, rub the affected part, once a day twice a day, and continue to use 2 Mel for 3 days.

4. Tobacco leaves or stems, add 20 times water, soak for 24 hours, cook for another 1 hour, and rub the affected part.

The whole development process of porcine scabies is 22 days, with an average of 15 days, and 3 courses of treatment is appropriate. Take medicine at intervals and repeat it every 10 days. Since most acaricides can only kill worms but not eggs at that time, 2murine should be treated three times to kill newly hatched larvae. At the same time, acaricides should be sprayed on enclosures and cages and their surrounding environment to kill mites thoroughly.

4. Preventive measures:

1. Do a good job in pig houses and environmental hygiene, disinfect them regularly, remove weeds around the pens, do a good job of killing insects and mosquitoes, and frequently change pads and pens to keep them clean, dry and ventilated.

2. When diseased pigs are found, they should be isolated and treated immediately to prevent spread. In the treatment of diseased pigs, acaricidal agents were used to thoroughly disinfect pig sheds and utensils, and the diseased pigs after treatment were placed in sterilized pig sheds.

3. Strengthen feeding and management to ensure adequate light and good ventilation in the enclosure, improve disease resistance of pigs, and the density of pigs raised in the same group should not be too high.
