Laying hens

1. Look at the laying time: in general, 70% of the healthy laying hens lay eggs before 12:00, while the remaining 20% lay eggs at 2: 4 p.m. If it is found that the laying time of chickens is uneven, or even laying eggs at night, it is a sign of illness.

two。 Look at egg production: during the peak period of egg production, it is normal that there is a slight difference in the number of eggs, but if there are ups and downs and large fluctuations, it means that the flock has potential diseases: a sudden drop of 20% may be caused by shock, high temperature environment and lack of water; if it drops by 40% to 50%, it should be considered whether the laying hens suffer from egg drop syndrome or feed poisoning.

3. Look at the eggshell: normal eggshell, the surface is uniform, slightly rough, brown or brown-white. If soft-shell eggs or thin-shell eggs appear, most of them are lack of vitamin D3 or lack or improper proportion of calcium and phosphorus in feed; if eggshells have pockmarked or light green spots, or rough or deformed eggs, all are oviduct inflammation.

4. Look at the protein: if the protein turns pink, the cottonseed cake content in the feed is too high, or the iron ion in the drinking water is on the high side. The protein is thin, possibly using sulfonamides or some insect repellents. The protein has a bad smell, which is bad absorption of fishmeal. Protein has blood spot, flesh spot, mostly for fallopian tube inflammation, secrete too much mucus and a small amount of hemoglobin mixture. There are large dots or large pieces of sesame seeds in the egg whites, which is preparagonimiasis in laying hens.

5. Look at the egg yolk: the egg yolk is orange, which is caused by the high dosage of cottonseed cake or some pigment in the feed. The egg yolk is grayish white, which is lack of yellow pigment, vitamin A, vitamin B and so on. Egg yolk green is due to excessive sodium chlorophyllin in feed. The egg yolk is thin, so the nutrition of laying hens is poor and vitamin deficiency.
