Native chickens should boil water as soon as possible. Chicks drink boiled water for the first time. When the chicks arrive, send the chicks to the nursery (especially in winter) to drink water as soon as possible. For chicks during long-distance transportation and hot weather, 0.9% glucose saline is added to the drinking water, and 0.1 to 0.2% potassium permanganate is added to the close drinking water. Boiled water should be early, so that more than 80% of chickens drink water at the same time. Those who are slow to respond, squat and motionless should be trained manually, or clapped to stimulate drinking water. Chicks should be supplied with water around the clock.
