With the general improvement of living standards, people's demand for meat quality is fashionable to pursue flavor, game and return to nature. in the past, the market of fast and large meat chickens raised in the house is getting worse, and the domestic chicken (commonly known as native chicken) is favored. In recent years, our city has used orchards, mountains, idle fields and barren beaches to raise chickens. Because of its labor-saving, extensive management and meat quality similar to native chickens, poultry products have been welcomed by consumers. The situation has developed rapidly, and the breeding volume has reached 70-80% of the total number of chickens raised. Our city has a wide area of orchards, mountains, idle fields and barren beaches, rich in resources and suitable climate. As long as we conscientiously do a good job in scientific feeding and management, develop high-quality native chickens and increase farmers' income, the prospect is very broad.

Choose a suitable site: native chicken farming should choose places with leeward to the sun, flat terrain, high dryness, convenient access to water, far from the village, convenient transportation, small canopy and sparse fruit trees. Do not densely spread chicken farms along the river, the distance between the farm and the farm is not less than 200 meters. Make use of the advantage of the natural barrier in the mountain area, advocate one mountain package and one field.

Site disinfection: in the new site, the nursery is sprayed with 5-10% lime water or 1: 600 100 disinfectant, 11200 disinfectant, 2% caustic soda, etc. The old site, ground cleaning and washing, on the basis of the above methods, more wonderful content, please pay attention to Fumu net, fumigation with potassium permanganate 14g / m2 plus formaldehyde 28ml / m2 for 1-2 days (put drinking fountains, buckets and other utensils together into disinfection), open ventilation for 1-2 days.

Temperature requirements: temperature is the key to the success of brood. The temperature should be adjusted half a day before entering the chick. Generally, the temperature in the nursery should be controlled at 32-33 ℃ at the age of 0-1 week, and then decreased by 1-2 ℃ per week until 4 weeks old. There are two ways to observe whether the temperature is appropriate: one is to look at the thermometer, and the other is to look at the condition of the flock. When the chickens gather together, close to the heat source, constantly chirping, indicating that the temperature is on the low side; when the chickens are far away from the heat source, distributing around, constantly opening their mouths to breathe, it shows that the temperature is on the high side; when the chickens are evenly distributed, move freely and relatively quiet, it shows that the temperature is more suitable.

The relationship between pest control and grazing should be correctly handled for raising native chickens in orchard mountains. Generally speaking, there are few insect pests in orchard mountain areas, but when pest control is needed, pesticides with high efficiency, low toxicity and low residue should be selected first and sprayed to the ground as little as possible. even if the chicken eats insects, the possibility of toxicity is also small; secondly, choose sunny days to control pests, and the liquid drops into the ground less. It is best to stagger pest control and grazing time, so that chickens are less exposed to drugs, just in case.
