Meat breeder chickens are generally given continuous light for 14 to 16 hours from the age of 22 weeks, but no more than 17 hours at most, otherwise it will have an adverse effect on egg production. Increase the light step by step, increasing it by 20 to 30 minutes at a time, up to 16 hours, when it is at the peak of egg production. The light can be maintained for 16 hours after that, and can be increased to 17 hours when it is close to elimination (59 weeks old). It should be noted here that the lighting time should not be greatly increased, otherwise it is easy to cause laying hens to prolapse their anus. The light intensity should be 10 to 20 lux.
