The addition of 55 to 60 grams of manganese per ton of chicken rations can not only meet the needs of normal egg production, but also optimize the quality of eggshells. In addition, 0.05% zinc and 0.4% magnesium should be added to the rations. Low manganese could decrease the proportion of eggshell and increase the proportion of cracked eggs, while high magnesium could decrease feed intake and increase damage rate. Therefore, an appropriate amount of trace elements must be added to the diet to ensure the quality of eggs.
