Matters needing attention in feeding and management of egg breeder hens

In order to obtain a high fertilization rate, cocks with low secondary sex, overweight, light weight, disabled eyes and legs and lethargic cocks should be eliminated before they are put into the hen flock; breeder cocks used for breeding in small groups or caged should be checked for semen quality if possible; cocks should be mated about 20 to 30 times a day, with the most frequent in the morning. For half-house-fed breeder flocks, it is advisable to put chickens on the sports ground as soon as possible in the hot season. Under the condition of raising in large groups, sometimes the fertilization rate does not reach the due level, which is related to the excessive size of the flock. It should be divided into small circles according to no more than 2000 in each flock, so that cocks can be evenly distributed in the flock.
