For the pest control of vegetables, physical methods can be used to reduce the use of pesticides and make vegetables truly meet the standard of pollution-free. The commonly used physical methods are light trapping, sex trapping, sugar and vinegar trapping and so on.

First, light trap

The moth killing lamp was used to trap and kill adults of Spodoptera litura, Spodoptera exigua, Plutella xylostella and other pests such as leafy vegetables, melons, beans, onions and garlic. Use 220V alternating current and hang one for every 1520 mu of vegetable field. The hanging light is 1: 1.5 meters above the ground and is turned on at 7: 9 every night.

2. Repelling and trapping of color swatches and color films

Hang silver gray film to ward off aphids in the field, hang yellow traps to stick aphids, whitefly, Liriomyza huidobrensis, etc., and hang blue traps to control palm thrips. The population number of insect pests can be reduced when it is used from the seedling stage of crops.

III. Trapping with sex attractants

The special traps of Spodoptera litura, Spodoptera exigua and Plutella xylostella were used to trap and kill adults to reduce the mating chance of pests. The sex attractants of Spodoptera litura and Spodoptera exigua hung 1 per 2 mu with a height of 1: 1.5 meters from the vegetable field, with a period of validity of 30: 45 days, while the sex traps of Plutella xylostella placed 5-6 sex traps per mu, with a period of validity of 30-45 days, separated by 6-8 meters.

IV. Booby and kill with sweet and sour wine

Sugar, vinegar, wine and water are mixed into sugar and vinegar solution according to 3%, and 90% trichlorfon is added according to 5%. Put in a basin on a bracket 1 meter above the ground, 3 per mu, covered during the day, opened at night, trapping and killing adults of insect pests such as Spodoptera litura, cabbage moth, Spodoptera litura, Liriomyza sinensis, small land tiger, etc.
