Kazuyuki Ohtsu, a Japanese woodcut printmaker on one side, and the man behind the famous Japanese printmaker Kiyoshi Saito on the other.

The two sides reflect not only the teacher-student relationship between Mr. Sato and Mr. Otsu for 40 years, but also the continuous inheritance of art.

Born in 1935 in Otsu, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, at the age of 19, he worked as an apprentice in Tokyo's Mei Yuan Engraving Workshop (Umehara Hanga). As a hard-working man, he basically mastered the woodcut printmaking process.

In 1958, Otsu ushered in a turning point in his life when he became Sato's printmaking assistant and followed him for 40 years until the death of Mr. Sato in 1997.

The extremely long apprenticeship and incredible loyalty may be difficult for the Chinese to understand, but they reflect the essence of Japanese traditional apprenticeship culture and ensure the inheritance and development of Japanese traditional craftsmanship and art.

Forty years of relationship like a relative, so that Otsu lucky prints, unnaturally with the imprint of Sato Qing, but Otzu Yuichi skillfully created his own realistic style, with bright and fresh colors to show the beauty of the 04:00 scenery.

Today, as high as 74 years old, Mr. Otsu lives in Kanagawa Prefecture. On the one hand, he understands the landscape and flowers. On the other hand, he creates constantly and greets the miracle of life with brilliant colors.
