In order to determine the effect of vitamin C on the growth and pathology of diseased Nile tilapia, Egyptian fishery researchers carried out experiments. The average body weight of the experimental fish was 20g and fed with diets supplemented with vitamin C 0mg/kg, 50mg/kg, 150mg/kg, 250mg/kg, 500mg/kg and 1000mg/kg for 12 weeks. The results showed that the growth of fish fed with non-vitamin C diet was poor, the addition of vitamin C 50mg/kg prevented the symptoms of fish body deficiency, and the addition of 150mg/kg increased weight gain, feed conversion rate, specific growth rate and protein efficiency of tilapia. The protein content of fish increased with the increase of vitamin C in feed, and the fat content decreased. The content of vitamin C in fish tissue was spleen, liver, muscle and kidney in turn. When tilapia infected with bacteria were fed with different levels of vitamin C diet, the mortality of diseased fish without vitamin C diet was more than 90%, while the survival rate of diseased fish fed with vitamin C 1000mg/kg diet was more than 90%. The symptoms of pathological infection gradually disappeared.-- what is the content of vitamin C in the original feed? Can you provide the source of the article? thank you very much-- http://www.chinafeed.org.cn/cms/.
