Softening cultivation method of garlic seedlings with good benefit of seasoning and color blending
Green garlic seedlings have a delicious flavor, with both seasoning and color. There are two ways to cultivate garlic seedlings: one is not to cultivate the soil, the pseudostem can see light; the other is to cultivate the soil to soften the pseudostem from light, make the pseudostem white, crisp and tender, and the leaves green and bright. Garlic seedling sowing
1. Cultivation season: in the south, garlic seedlings can be softened and cultivated from late August to March of the following year, sowing and harvesting at any time until May. In the north, it was cultivated in open field from mid-late August to late September, and harvested in mid-late November. Protected cultivation, from the first ten days of October to March of the following year, sowed and harvested one after another, to May of the following year.
The time required for garlic seedlings from sowing to harvest depends on the temperature. When the average daily temperature is 13-20 ℃, it takes 45-50 days from sowing to harvest. If the temperature is 7-13 ℃, it takes 75-80 days, and at 0-7 ℃, the seedlings stop growing but are not harmed by freezing. As the temperature requirement of garlic seedlings is not high, simple protective facilities with general thermal insulation performance are often used in cultivation, such as wind barrier, small arch shed, plastic greenhouse, and can also be cultivated on the empty roads such as the north wall root of the solar greenhouse, or on the family windowsill.
two。 Variety selection: all kinds of garlic varieties can be used to cultivate softened garlic seedlings, and there are suitable varieties all over the country. In the past, the use of small clove varieties, such as Gouya garlic, can save garlic species and low cost, but the garlic seedlings are slender, the yield is low and the quality is not good. At present, more large-petal varieties are used in various places. The large-petal seed has a large amount of seeds and a slightly higher cost, but it has high yield, good quality and exuberant growth. There are special varieties for cultivating garlic seedlings, such as Guangxi Quanzhou garlic, the garlic cloves are light but fat, and the garlic seedlings are sturdy and high-yielding. Early autumn cultivation, the use of varieties with a short dormant period in order to sprout as early as possible after sowing. Purple garlic is suitable in Shandong area.
3. Sowing: whether it is open field or protected field, make a flat bed 1.5-1.7 meters wide. Applying rotten organic fertilizer in the border is 45000 kg per hectare and turns 10 cm shallowly. Garlic seed treatment is the same as autumn sowing cultivation. The petal can sow seeds with skins, or soak in water overnight and then sow the foreskin. After peeling, the seedlings will emerge faster and neatly. When sowing, arrange the garlic cloves vertically and densely on the bed. After sowing, cover the soil with 3cm, pour water thoroughly, and then sprinkle the soil with 1-2cm.
4. Soil softening: proper soil cultivation can increase the length of pseudostem of garlic seedling, improve product quality, and soften the pseudostem. When the garlic seedlings are almost complete and the leaves are not yet unfolded, water them once. After the water seeps down, it is covered with a layer of sand or horse dung and broken grass, about 5 cm thick. For example, garlic seedlings grow healthily, after growing out of covered soil, sprinkle a layer of covered soil to ensure that the pseudostem of garlic seedlings is 10-15 cm long.

Field management: softening garlic seedlings mainly depends on the nutrients accumulated by the seed valve, such as in the seedling border, the base fertilizer is sufficient, and there is no need to topdressing during the growth period. In the protected area, the temperature is lower and the water evaporation is less, so there is generally no need to water again after watering before the first soil cultivation. When cultivated in open field, it should be watered many times from sowing to harvest. Before emergence, light watering and frequent watering can not only reduce the ground temperature, keep the soil moist, but also promote the rooting of garlic seedlings and early emergence of garlic seedlings. After the garlic seedlings come out, urea can be applied with the water, 150 kg per hectare. Urea can also be applied once 15-20 days before harvest. Garlic seedlings overwintering in the open field should be watered before winter.
6. Temperature management: protected cultivation, temperature management should be appropriate. Before emergence, keep 20-25 ℃ in the protected area. During the growth period after emergence, when the temperature is less than 20 ℃ in daytime and more than 20 ℃ in daytime, it will be ventilated and cooled down, and not less than 5 ℃ at night. The temperature should be lowered 4-5 days before harvest, about 15 ℃ during the day. If the temperature of garlic seedlings is too high during the growing period, it is easy to grow and lodge, which affects the product quality. And the temperature is too low, and lead to growth retardation, affecting the listing period. Therefore, in late autumn and early winter, when the external temperature is high, ventilation should be strengthened. In the depths of winter, attention should be paid to buckle strict plastic film and cover grass to keep warm.
7. Harvest: high-quality softened garlic seedling standard: the pseudostem is long and thick, the size between the rosette is neat, the leaf is tender, not only long, no withered yellow leaf, dry leaf tip. When harvesting, the petals can be pulled up, bundled and washed on the market. It can also be cut with a knife about 1 cm from the ground. When harvesting, do not hurt the garlic cloves, wait for the growth of new leaves, and then topdressing, watering; promote the growth of garlic seedlings, easy to harvest the second knife. In the third harvest, it was uprooted and listed.
