Grass carp cultured in this way are easy to sell in the market and the price is high, with an average of 0.2 to 0.5 times higher, and the economic benefit is high. The following is the experience of brittle grass carp culture as follows:

Grass carp culture

First, culture conditions: brittle grass carp culture can be carried out in ponds or cages. Pond requirements: less silt at the bottom, sufficient water source, good water quality and no pollution, convenient entry and drainage, with an area of 1330,000 square meters and a water depth of about 2 meters. The grass carp should be cleaned thoroughly according to the usual requirements before release. The cage can be located in the leeward direction of lakes, reservoirs and rivers. Water body requirements: no pollution, rich in dissolved oxygen, water depth of 4-7 meters, flat sediment, no aquatic plants. A fully enclosed cage with a specification of 5m × 4m × 2.5m and a mesh of 5cm is adopted. A piece of 30-mesh silk cloth is padded at the bottom of the cage as a feeding platform to prevent feed loss. The new cage should be launched 7-10 days in advance to soften and float some phytoplankton to prevent scratching the fish; the used cage should be cleaned and soaked in 5% quicklime solution for 30 minutes.

Second, fish stocking: choose grass carp with strong physique, disease-free and injury-free, with an average tail weight of 0.5 kg as fish species. The stocking capacity of ponds is 150kg / mu, and that of cages is 1520kg / m2. In order to regulate the water quality, silver carp and bighead carp species with a length of 13,15cm are stocked in ponds per mu, and silver carp and bighead carp species with a tail length of 13cm and 15cm are stocked in cages per square meter. Before stocking, grass carp are immunized, and grass carp can also be soaked in 4% saline solution for 5 minutes for 10 minutes.

3. Brittleness season: brittle culture can be carried out from the beginning of feeding of grass carp with water temperature above 15 ℃ in spring to before stopping feeding in winter. If the culture mode of rotation or batch culture is adopted, the brittle culture time of each round or batch shall not be less than 6070 days.

Fourth, culture management: feed is mainly high-protein broad bean, plus a small amount of grass, can not add other feed. At the beginning, you can stop eating for 2-3 days, then feed a small amount of soaked broad beans (broad beans soaked in 1% salt for 12-24 hours), and wait until grass carp can be fed normally. In general, every day at 8: 00 a. M. and 5: 00 p. M. respectively, the specific amount of feeding should be adjusted according to grass carp intake and water temperature. When the water temperature is 16-19 ℃, the daily feeding amount is 1.5%-2.0% of the grass carp body weight; when the water temperature is 19-22 ℃, it is 2.0%-3.0% of the grass carp body weight; when the water temperature is 22-25 ℃, it is 3.0%-4.0% of the grass carp body weight; when the water temperature is 25-28 ℃, it is 4.0%-5.0% of the grass carp body weight; when the water temperature is 28-30 ℃, it is 5.0%-6.0% of the grass carp body weight.
