Meat pigeon

First, prevent cold and keep warm:

Pigeon house cold protection equipment should be inspected frequently to ensure that it does not leak rain and snow and is not attacked by cold wind. In cold weather, doors and windows should be closed strictly and cushions with good thermal insulation performance should be added to ensure the dryness and hygiene of pigeon houses. Reasonable arrangement of meat pigeon breeding, pigeon house temperature for a long time below 0 ℃, should stop breeding, let pigeon rest. In the diet, energy feed should be increased appropriately. Can add sesame seeds, rapeseed and so on.

Second, the temperature of drinking water should be suitable:

Each meat pigeon should drink 2535 ml of water, and the water temperature should be natural to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. It is forbidden to drink overheated, cold and frozen water. It is best to drink about 20 ℃ of warm water in cold weather.

Third, scientific breeding:

The feed is mainly beans and corn. General diet formula: pea 2%, corn 30%, sorghum 15%, wheat 15%, can be mixed with appropriate amount of barley, oats, millet and so on. The feed in the diet should be ground into particles, not whole seeds or powder. In the cold season, it is also necessary to feed the meat pigeons with mineral feed, commonly known as "health sand". The formula is: shell powder 20%, fine sand 25%, laterite (or yellow mud) 30%, bone powder 10%, charcoal powder 7%, hydrated lime 5%, salt 3%. Generally, a pair of meat pigeons need about 75 grams of feed every day, which are fed three times in the morning, medium and rice, and provide an appropriate amount of vegetable leaves and other green fodder.

Fourth, disease prevention and treatment:

This season, meat pigeons are prone to respiratory diseases such as cholera, colds and tracheitis and are infected with external parasites such as fleas and pigeon lice. So the pigeon house should be cleaned every day and sterilized once or twice a month with 5% Laisu or 0.1% 0.2% bromogeramine solution. Observe the pigeons in the morning and morning every day, focusing on the performance and feces of meat pigeons, find sick pigeons, isolate and treat them in time. (1) pigeon pox: it can be broken, washed with boric acid water and fed with appropriate amount of oxytetracycline at the same time. (2) indigestion: each pigeon was fed with half a piece of yeast. (3) diarrhea: each pigeon can be fed with half a piece of oxytetracycline. (4) soft foot disease: can be fed with bran, green feed and calcium tablets. (5) Ascaris lumbricoides: Qusanling and Quechongjing are used every two or three months.
