Cattle

Symptoms: bovine influenza virus harms mucosal epithelial cells and poisons the central nervous system, so cattle show the following symptoms: at the initial stage of the disease, the body temperature rises to 40 ℃ ~ 42 ℃, showing a missed fever type. The nose is dry and hot, the whole body muscle tremors, mental fatigue; eyes afraid of light tears, conjunctival congestion; shortness of breath, runny nose, occasional cough, not eating, drooling, less stool or constipation, less dry urine, yellow and red. Later diarrhea, limb pain, unstable gait or claudication, pregnant cattle often miscarried. Such as secondary pneumonia, throat paralysis, dyspnea, suffocation and death.

Causes: sudden changes in temperature, such as the turn of spring and summer; overwork and malnutrition of beef cattle; breeders do not pay attention to the cleanliness of the barn, reducing the disease resistance of the respiratory tract mucosa of cattle, influenza viruses that originally exist in the respiratory tract or enter the respiratory tract through breathing, it can damage the mucosa, invade the blood, and reproduce a large number of toxins in the blood, resulting in the disease of beef cattle.

Diagnosis: influenza in beef cattle occurs suddenly and spreads rapidly. it can infect most beef cattle within 2 days, showing similar symptoms, all characterized by severe respiratory and digestive system symptoms. Although the symptoms are serious, if there is no secondary infection, it can be cured within 1 week, the recovery is rapid, and the prognosis is good.

Treatment: breeders should pay attention to prevent secondary infection and strictly prevent beef cattle from falling to the ground. Western medicine: based on the principle of symptomatic therapy (such as antipyretic analgesia) and prevention of secondary infection, in order to alleviate symptoms and shorten the course of disease, the following prescriptions are available: ① intramuscular injection of penicillium 150-3 million units or 20% sulfathiazole sodium 20ml 30ml to prevent secondary infection. ② was injected intramuscularly with compound aminopyrine 20ml 30ml, or paracetamol 10ml, antipyretic and analgesic. ③ was injected intravenously with glucose saline 1000ml / 1500ml for cardiotonic fluid replacement.
