Raising fish in rice field and double harvest of fish and rice is one of the traditional agricultural production methods in China, which can not only increase production, but also increase income, and is one of the ways to get rich in rural areas. Here are several ways of raising fish in rice fields, which can be selected according to local conditions.

Rice field fish culture

First, Hirada style. Heighten and strengthen the ridge so that the ridge is 50-70cm high and the top width is about 50cm. Fish ditches or fish slips were dug in the rice fields, with a depth of 30-50cm and a width of 30-50cm. The ditch is set up in the form of digging a ring ditch at half of the subbase of the ridge in the paddy field, with an area of more than mu, and digging a "ten" shaped central trench in the middle of the field. The central groove is connected with the ring groove, and the opposite ends of the ring groove are connected with the inlet and outlet, and the excavation area of the whole groove accounts for 5% and 8% of the paddy field area. When rice and fish are also used as adult fish, the designed yield of fish is about 30 kg per mu. If rice and fish are cultivated in the first season and only fish are raised instead of rice in the second season, the designed yield of fish per mu can reach 80-100 kg.

Second, ridge rice and ditch fish style. It's more scientific. Dig a main trench around the paddy field, 50-100cm wide and 70-80cm deep. Rice is planted on ridges, generally about 6 rows of rice are planted on each ridge, and ridges are dug between ridges, and the width of the ditch is smaller than that of the main trench. If the area of the rice field is large, another main trench can be dug in the middle of the rice field. The total ditching area accounts for about 10% of the field area, and the designed fish culture yield is 80-100 kg per mu.

Third, fish boat style. Dig a "fish fish" according to a certain proportion of the area of the paddy field. The excavation area of the fish ponds is about 5% of the field area, and the depth is 2-2.5 meters. The fish ponds are located in the middle of the field or in the shade, not at the inlet, drain and dead corner of the field. It is better to have an oval pan bottom or a rectangle in the form of fish cutlery. The fish boat is dug into a secondary slope type, that is, the upper 1 meter is excavated at a slope ratio of 1 0.5, while the lower part is excavated at 1:1, leaving a width of 30cm between the two parts. Where there are conditions, in order to ensure that it does not collapse, slope protection such as stone strips, slates, cement slabs, gravel and so on are applied. In order to prevent the silt from entering the fish ponds, small ridges with high 20cm and wide 30cm should be built at the edge of the fish ponds. A ring trench with 40cm depth and 30cm width was dug around the field 3-3.5m away from Tian Ji. The designed yield of fish culture per mu is 50-70 kg.

Fourth, ditch pool type. Small ponds and fish ditches are set up at the same time, and the total excavated area accounts for 10% of the field area. 15%. The small pond is located at one end of the water inlet of the paddy field, and the excavated area accounts for 4% of the surface of the field. It is rectangular, 1-1.5 meters deep, and is provided with a shade shed. Build a small ridge with high 20cm and wide 30cm at the junction of the pool and the field. Ring trench and central trench can be set up according to the area of paddy field, with a width of 30-40cm and a depth of 28-30cm. The central groove is in the shape of "ten" or "well", which connects the trench and the pool.

Fifth, running water pit type. Designed according to the principle of running water to raise fish. The method is that a water pit (also known as a wide ditch) with a depth of 1-1.5m and an area of 4% of the rice field area is excavated at one end of the water inlet of the paddy field, and a ridge with high 15cm and wide 20cm is arranged at the junction with the field surface, and there are 2-4 gaps between the ridge and the field, so that the water in the pit is connected with the water in the field. In addition, the fish pit can also be located in the middle of the field. There is a "ten" shaped central trench in the middle of the field, and a ring ditch is set around the field. The width and depth of the groove are both 25cm. Ditches and pits should be connected. The designed yield of fish culture is more than 50 kg per mu, but not more than 80 kg.
