Rabbit trichiasis is a common skin disease with strong infectivity. it mainly infects young rabbits and young rabbits. If the prevention and treatment is not timely, the sick rabbit will lose weight and die. Malnutrition, poor hygiene of rabbit house, poor lighting and ventilation, and high humidity environment are easy to induce rabbit trichiasis, and can also be infected by direct or indirect contact, such as manual movement, air flow, etc., and infection can also be caused by lactating young rabbits.

Rabbit

First, symptoms: the disease starts from or near the head of the rabbit, and gradually spreads to the limbs and the whole body. Sick lactating rabbits, lips and eyes around the skin thickening, inflammation, crusts proliferation, hair removal, such as wearing glasses. Some rabbits' torso hairs vary in length and are spray-like. Partial depilation, smooth skin surface, gradually appear crusts, showing bran-like, gypsum powder-like. In some rabbits, the hair on the affected part was broken and fell off, forming a round or irregular depilation area, whose surface was covered with gray scales and inflammatory lesions.

2. Prevention:

1. Safe introduction: do not buy breeding rabbits from rabbit farms in epidemic areas. It is best to isolate the newly purchased breeding rabbits for a month before rearing in the group. Three days before entering the rabbit, the rabbit house was fumigated with formalin.

2. Strengthen feeding management: strengthening feeding management can effectively prevent rabbit trichiasis. Add ivermectin to the feed, usually pay attention to the dryness, cleanliness, ventilation and ventilation of the fence house, keep the rabbit body clear, disinfect the cage and utensils with 2% sodium carbonate solution regularly, and disinfect the rabbit with the spray of 1% sodium carbonate 2000.

3. Pay attention to observation and regular quarantine: observe the situation of the rabbit farm every day, and if you find sick rabbits, you should isolate them in time and carry out group inspection; thoroughly disinfect the rabbit house and disinfect the rabbit cages, utensils, floors, walls and ceilings with 3% quicklime or 3% sodium hydroxide.

Third, treatment: after the affected part of the rabbit is plucked or cut off, rinse with soapy water, warm alkali water, sulfide solution, after removing scab, apply clotrimazole tinea lotion or clotrimazole ointment, 3 or 4 times a day: or spray 2% trichlorfon solution, once a week, several times: you can also apply 10% iodine tincture or 10% salicylic acid alcohol until cured. In severe cases, 25 mg of oxytetracycline per kilogram of rabbit body weight was taken daily for 10 days, and 1 ml of "dermatophylline" was subcutaneously injected into each rabbit, and once again after a week. During treatment, the hair cut off from the disease should be burned immediately.
