Zhou Tingzhang, director of water conservancy, pointed out in his report that apart from purifying sewage, the water resources center recently built in Taichung City has also moved towards all-round development, and has broken through the previous industrial closed design by opening up close to the people to create a public rest space. the surrounding area of the plant has become a neighborhood park, building space for neighborhood activities, and the sustainable use of solar energy and reclaimed water to turn neighborhood facilities into arm facilities.

He said that the central government approved the reclaimed water plan in Taichung City for 6.8 billion yuan, and the amount of subsidy and water supply are the largest in the country. It can provide 160000 tons of reclaimed water in the future, accounting for 52% of the national total, and practice the utilization value of water resources from black water to platinum. In addition, in the implementation of the green energy policy, Futian and Shigangba water resources are equipped with 3800 solar panels, which is also the largest solar energy field in the city, with an annual carbon reduction of 943 metric tons. Equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of 94000 trees and create 800000 city revenue, it is a step towards a sustainable city in the practice of circular economy.
