Last Updated: 2024/09/20, Pig feeding with raw meal is fastidious.

The choice of raw feed is mainly made of Gramineae seeds, such as corn, wheat, rice and their processing by-products, such as grain bran, wheat bran, corn meal and so on. After the above feed is cooked, the loss of nutrients is more than 13%, and its feeding effect is only equivalent to 87% of that of raw feeding. In addition, green feed should also be fed raw, and most of the protein and vitamins are destroyed. However, leguminous feeds such as soybeans, bean cakes, peanut cakes and bean dregs contain an antitrypsin, which can hinder the decomposition of legume proteins by trypsin in pigs. Therefore, this kind of feed can not be fed raw and must be fed after high temperature treatment. The choice of raw feeding can be divided into wet feeding and dry feeding. The ratio of wet feed to water should not exceed 1 ∶ 2.5.Otherwise, it will reduce the secretion of digestive juice, reduce the activity of digestive enzymes, and affect the digestion and absorption of feed. the most suitable ratio should be about 1 ∶ 1. The mixed feed should be able to squeeze out water droplets; dry feeding is in the form of powder, feeding dry feed first and then drinking water. The advantage of dry feeding is that the feed is not easy to deteriorate, and it can be fed for a few days at a time, which saves labor and is easy to make compound feed for pigs. Raw feed to pigs should be disinfected raw feed should be washed and disinfected so as not to be infected with parasitic diseases. The method of disinfection can be soaked in lime water or potassium permanganate solution, and the best way is not to use pig manure or unripe fermented manure to prevent the contamination of insect eggs and bacteria. Rapeseed cake, cottonseed cake, fresh cassava, buckwheat, etc., which contain some toxins, generally have to be detoxified by crushing, soaking, fermentation or silage before they can be fed raw. Raw meal crushing should be moderately crushed with a particle diameter of 1.2 mm ~ 1.8 mm. This type of pig tastes refreshing, has a large feed intake and grows fat fast; when the diameter is less than 1 mm, it is easy to stick to the mouth when eating, affecting palatability, and easy to cause gastric ulcer; diameter is more than 2 mm, rough, poor palatability, pigs do not like to eat, affecting the normal growth of pigs. The amount of raw meal should be reasonably fed to pigs, which varies according to different growth stages and production performance of pigs. Pigs and fattening pigs can be fed freely, while breeding pigs, especially breeding sows, should be rationed, otherwise, overfeeding will cause fat deposition and affect reproduction. Usually, the daily concentrate consumption of breeding boars in the non-mating period should be controlled at 2 kg ~ 2.5 kg, and can be fed to 3 kg ~ 3.5 kg during the mating period. Pregnant sows, the amount of concentrate is 2 kg ~ 2.5 kg, lactation is 5 kg ~ 6 kg. The secretion of digestive juice is the most exuberant when the raw meal is fed separately to pigs for starvation. Concentrate feed is rich in nutrition, less volume, less crude fiber, good palatability and easy digestion, so concentrate should be fed first. Supply enough water to feed pigs with dry food, and supply enough water. The amount of drinking water in winter is generally 2 ~ 3 times that of dry feed, 4 times in spring and autumn, and 5 times in summer. Especially lactating sows and piglets should not be short of water, otherwise it will affect the milk secretion of sows. The water quality should be clean and pollution-free, and the water temperature should be warm in winter and cool in summer. When the raw meal is gradually changed from clinker to raw meal, there should be a transitional period. First, the food of 1P3 should be changed to raw meal. The feed intake and weight gain of pigs will be affected if they are not fed raw food until 3 ~ 5 days later. The amount of raw meal used should be controlled in the first few days after switching to raw feed to prevent indigestion and other discomfort caused by excessive intake of food in pigs.
