In recent years, the sowing time of winter wheat in our county has been gradually postponed from the Autumn Equinox in the 1990s to now sowing Cold Dew wheat. The growth time of wheat seedling stage before winter is relatively short. In order to ensure a bumper harvest of summer grain next year, it is very important to control diseases, insect pests and weeds at the seedling stage.

Insect pests: mainly locusts, crickets, aphids, gray planthoppers.

Locusts and crickets: harm wheat seedlings and bite leaves. Affect the photosynthesis of plants

Aphids, gray planthoppers: feed in wheat fields and spread viral diseases.

Prevention and control methods:

Agricultural measures to remove weeds on the edge of the field in time and destroy the living places of aphids and gray planthoppers.

2 Chemical control with 4.5% cypermethrin 1500 times spray control. Or spray with 30% chlorpyrifos EC 100 ml per mu.

Grass damage: brome, a malignant weed of Gramineae in wheat field, has been found in some plots in our county in 2009. The seedlings emerged at the same time as wheat, and autumn is the suitable period for chemical control. Therefore, it is suggested that the majority of farmers should spray evenly with 70% puma tiger water dispersible granule 4 grams and 30 kg water per mu at the stage of 3 mi 5 leaves and 2 mi 4 leaves in the wheat field. In addition, PUBG can be mixed with benzenesulfuron and 2.4 murine D-butyl ester, which is safe for wheat. The effect is obvious.
