Phyllostachys pubescens, also known as Phyllostachys pubescens, is a specialty of Jiande City. it was introduced into Ningbo after 1985. at present, the planting area in Ningbo has reached 2000 mu. It is a medium-ripe summer bamboo shoot variety. The yield is relatively high, the yield of bamboo shoots per mu is about 4000 kg, but because the shooting period is concentrated from the middle of April to the middle of May, it meets with the peak period of other bamboo shoots, so the selling price is often low, and the general output value per mu is only 2000-2500 yuan. Feng Weixiang, a villager of Jingtou Village, Sanqi Town, Yuyao City, successfully carried out the experiment of "summer bamboo shoots and winter shoots", and maintained the shooting period of more than 100 days, thus greatly improving the economic benefits. He planted 1.4mu of bamboo in 1994 and covered it in November 1996. he began to shoot from January 10 to late April 1997. he produced a total of 2389.8 kg of bamboo shoots with an output value of 19726 yuan, 1707 kg per mu and 14090 yuan per mu, with an average of 8.25 yuan per kilogram. Through several years of practice, he explored and summed up the experience of "bamboo shoots in summer and winter", which is a good article with the words "water, fertilizer, and temperature".

Water: bamboo cannot grow from walking whip, pregnant bamboo shoot and bamboo shoot to mature bamboo. Without a certain amount of water, bamboo cannot grow, let alone "shoot out in summer and winter". However, too much water is not conducive to growth, and easy to cause rotten whip, until the death of the whole bamboo forest. Therefore, the first condition for the selection of high-section bamboo forest land is good drainage and convenient use of water. The bamboo forest with "summer bamboo shoots and winter shoots" should ensure sufficient moisture in the whipping period from June to July, pregnant shooting period from September to November, mulching period in December and long shooting period from January to March.

Fertilizer: fertilizer should be fully applied three times a year. Quick-acting fertilizer was applied in June with urea 20-25 kg per mu, compound fertilizer 30-35 kg and loosening soil to promote whip growth; from August to September, 20-25 kg urea per mu was applied to promote its germination; before November mulching, it was the focus of fertilization for the whole year. The application of farm manure (pig manure, garbage, etc.) per mu with 7500-10000 kg per mu can not only increase temperature, but also have a longer fertilizer effect, which is conducive to the early production and high yield of bamboo shoots.

Temperature: the initial ground temperature of bamboo shoots unearthed is 18: 20. C, the ground temperature at the peak of shooting is 25: 30. C . The effective way to raise the ground temperature is to cover. Bamboo leaf is the best covering, and rice straw, sawdust and rice chaff can also be used, but it must be a material with better warming effect, so that the temperature can be increased to 25. C or above, the covering thickness is 30cm to 35cm. Under normal circumstances, bamboo shoots begin to emerge after 25 days of coverage. Therefore, the coverage time should be determined by analyzing the market situation. Water well before covering. Because the mulch is dry, it can only be fermented and warmed with water. Watering to seep up to the bamboo whip, generally watering 2530 tons per mu.
