Skillfully using cheap Additives in raising Pigs
When pig production is in a period of loss, we should do everything possible to reduce the cost. Reasonable addition of some cheap mineral additives to pig feed can promote growth, prevent pig disease, save feed, reduce cost, and greatly improve the economic benefits of pig breeding. This paper introduces several commonly used pig feed additives for reference and selection of pig farms and pig farmers. Coal ash slag contains not only phosphorus, potassium, copper, iron, magnesium, zinc, manganese and other mineral elements needed by pigs, but also a new type of pig growth regulator-humic acid. Feeding it to pigs can directly enhance the vitality of various enzymes, promote metabolism and increase the accumulation of organic matter in pigs. Adding 3% or 5% coal ash to the pig diet can regulate the salt and alkali in the pig body, increase the growth rate, reduce disease, effectively prevent diarrhea, constipation, asthma and so on, and significantly reduce mortality. Bentonite, commonly known as "white clay", contains not only a large number of silicon and aluminum compounds, but also mineral elements needed by more than 20 kinds of pigs, such as phosphorus, potassium, copper, iron, magnesium, zinc, manganese, cobalt, chromium, calcium, barium, titanium and so on. These elements are the components of enzymes, hormones and bioactive substances, which can significantly change the activity or immune performance of enzymes and hormones. First, bentonite has good palatability and adsorption, which can delay the speed of feed passing through the digestive tract, so that pigs can make effective use of nutrients and improve nutrient digestibility; second, bentonite has many special physical and chemical properties. it can absorb harmful substances in pigs, inhibit the growth of bacteria in gastrointestinal tract, improve resistance and promote growth and development. The third is to replace grain as the carrier of various trace elements, prevent the imbalance of calcium and phosphorus, participate in metabolism and immune response, and improve the survival rate of pigs. Bentonite is generally added to pig diets with 2%-4% effect. Zeolite is a kind of natural silicate mineral, which contains 18 kinds of major elements and most trace elements needed for the growth and development of pigs, such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, copper and so on. it is a very ideal natural mineral feed additive with low price. Its interior has the crystal structure of porous channel and porous hole, and the volume of pore (hole) accounts for more than 50% of the total volume of zeolite. It has strong adsorption power and can absorb harmful gases such as methane and ethane in the intestine and toxins of Escherichia coli and salmonella. And can inhibit the growth and reproduction of harmful bacteria. If 3%-5% zeolite powder is added to the pig diet, the average weight gain of pigs can be increased by 10%; abdominal diarrhea, infectious gastroenteritis, bronchitis and rickets can be prevented; if fed to sows, intrafetal growth can be accelerated, stillbirths can be prevented, and the survival rate can be improved. Save 70% of medical expenses, reduce odor, and improve the feeding environment. The water content of pig feces is reduced, and the pen is clean and dry, which fully improves the hygiene of pig farms and is beneficial to the growth and development of pigs. Maifan stone is a kind of natural health care stone with biological activity, which is a kind of rock with specific structure and trace element combination formed by granite weathering. First, the metal elements are easily soluble in dilute acid, and when they pass through the intestines and stomach of pigs, they can be released and directly used by pigs, especially the trace elements such as nickel, titanium and selenium are the activating substances of enzymes in pigs. it can improve the activity of enzyme and the utilization rate of feed nutrients. Second, Maifan stone has good adsorption and ion exchange. it can selectively adsorb bacteria in pig digestive tract and play a role in disease prevention. It is appropriate to add 1% to 3% of Maifan stone in pig diet. Other yellow clay in mountainous and hilly areas contains not only a large amount of iron and copper compounds, but also mineral elements needed by more than 20 kinds of pigs. The addition of 2%-4% yellow clay to the pig diet has a significant effect on increasing appetite, weight gain and disease prevention. Adding 0.5% sodium nitrate to pig feed can increase daily gain by 20%, feed utilization rate by 15%, and pigs are healthy and less sick, with bright fur, strong appetite and normal defecation. Adding 0.25% copper sulfate to pig feed can increase pig daily gain by 16%, feed utilization rate by 5%, and feed cost by about 4%. The addition of 10 mg ~ 20 mg zinc sulfate per pig and 30 mg ~ 50 mg zinc sulfate per pig can make the pig have exuberant appetite, smooth fur, less disease and fast growth. -Additives are additives after all, and the key is the nutrition of the feed.-Lou Pig should use it first and then post something that has been out of date in the last century.
