Eight key points for raising rabbits are recommended. 1. Select suitable varieties. We can choose some forage varieties with high yield, high quality and strong adaptability, such as bitter cabbage, chicory, Italian ryegrass, Dongmu 70 ryegrass, alfalfa, yellow bamboo grass, Russian fodder dish, Rumex Kmurl 1 and so on. In addition, sweet potato vines, carrots, peanut vines, turnips and cauliflower leaves are also good fodder for rabbits and can be planted and utilized comprehensively. 2. Determine the appropriate scale. The feeding scale should be determined according to the family labor and equipment conditions, and then the recommended area should be determined by the feeding scale. In general, 667 square meters (1 mu) of forage grass can be used for 50 breeding rabbits for the whole year. The breeding speed of rabbits is fast, so the planting area of forage grass depends on the base number and development speed of breeding rabbits, so that it can not only meet the supply but also not waste. 3. Appropriate stubble should be adopted. The purpose of the arrangement of forage stubble is to increase the yield of forage per unit area of land and to ensure that rabbits can eat fresh green fodder all the year round. The crop arrangement patterns commonly used in production are as follows: ① alfalfa and Dongmu 70 ryegrass are planted reasonably, which can ensure a balanced supply of green feed for rabbits in a year. When ② Sudan grass is planted with Italian ryegrass or winter ryegrass 70 ryegrass, Sudan grass grows faster, produces more grass and is nutritious than alfalfa. 4. Planting method of forage grass. The high-yield forage grass suitable for rabbit feeding has higher requirements for water and fertilizer. In order to obtain high yield, fertile land should be selected, and the land with water is the best. Before sowing, the land should be shallowly ploughed to destroy stubble, eliminate weeds and apply sufficient basal fertilizer. Soil preparation should be loose, flat, fine and good soil moisture. After sowing, cover with a layer of fine soil, pour water thoroughly, and seedlings emerge in 3-5 days. Spring sowing is carried out from March to April, and autumn sowing is suitable from August to early October. During the growing period of forage grass, we must ensure the supply of fertilizer and water, and weed in time, so as to preserve soil moisture and soil fertility. The forage grass can be harvested and fed to the rabbits at the heading stage, leaving a stubble height of 4-6 cm, and topdressing and irrigating in time after each harvest, so as to facilitate the growth of forage seedlings. 5. Plant herbs as rabbit feed additive. While planting forage to raise rabbits, we should also choose to plant some herbs, such as green leaves, honeysuckle, wild chrysanthemum, dandelion, plantain, purple flower, herb, purslane, wormwood and so on. These herbs have good productivity and can be used as daily feed additives for rabbits, which not only have nutrition and no side effects, but also regulate the immune function of rabbits and play a role in disease prevention and treatment. 6. Forage grass to make full-price feed. In addition to fresh feeding rabbits, forage grass can also be harvested and dried and processed into powder with all kinds of weeds, wild vegetables, herbs, leaves, crop straw and agricultural processing products, etc. according to a certain proportion, wheat bran, soybean meal, corn and rice bran are added to feed rabbits, which can not only ensure the nutritional balance of rabbits, but also reduce the cost of rabbit concentrate feed. 7. Pay attention to proper feeding. Rabbits are mainly fed with green and coarse forage, accounting for about 70-80% of the total diet. Adult rabbits need about 800 grams of green feed per day, and 400-500 grams for young rabbits. Forage should be fed less frequently and forage should be diversified as much as possible. in the case of sufficient green feed, it is necessary to appropriately increase the proportion of wheat bran, soybean meal and corn in concentrate feed, and pay attention to supplement minerals to rabbits. 8. Pay attention to the quality of forage. Forage grass raising rabbits should be fresh and clean, do not feed grass with silt, do not feed rotten, moldy, yellowing and deteriorating grass, do not feed cold frozen wheatgrass in winter, and do not feed forage grass that has been sprayed with pesticides for less than a month. On rainy days or in the morning, the forage grass harvested in the morning should be dried and dewy before feeding the rabbits-thank you!
