1. Culture at room temperature

Normal temperature culture is completely dependent on the temperature changes of nature for centipede culture. With the change of temperature throughout the year, centipedes also appear several processes such as recovery period, growth and reproduction period, fattening period and hibernation period. Normal temperature aquaculture has the following characteristics: simple technology and convenient management of ①; low investment of ②, no need to build greenhouse and install heating equipment. Therefore, normal temperature culture is a better form of culture.

From the Beginning of Winter to Lesser Snow, the temperature gradually dropped below 10 ℃, and the centipede began to hibernate. At this time, it is necessary to cover grass curtains in the breeding pond to prevent the cold wind from blowing. In the whole winter, the culture pond is ventilated once a month, and water is sprinkled around the pallets to ensure that the pallets are wet, so as to provide a good place for centipedes to survive the winter. All these operational activities should be carried out at noon on a sunny day, with a suitable time of about 2 hours.

After the Beginning of Spring, the temperature rebounded, and the centipede slowly woke up. When the temperature rose to 15 ℃, a few centipedes began to come out. When the temperature rises to 20 ℃, most centipedes begin to come out to look for food. At this time, the centipede is in the recovery period, and its activity and digestive ability are not exuberant. During this period, a small amount of food should be fed, step by step, and the amount of food should be increased step by step. Do not feed in large quantities, so as not to cause abdominal distension and death. At the same time, we should also pay attention to the heat preservation of unexpected cold wave. As the temperature continues to rise, the amount of feed can be increased appropriately, from Qingming Festival to Lesser Fullness of Grain, and the temperature increases to about 25 ℃. Most centipedes have strong digestive ability and food intake increases greatly. At this time, sufficient feed should be supplied to meet the needs of their growth and development. At the same time, due to the increase of air temperature and the acceleration of water evaporation in the pond, sufficient amount of water must be sprayed into the pond every day. With the increase of air temperature, the amount of water sprayed gradually increases, the centipede enters the best growth period, the activity is large, the food intake increases suddenly, and the growth and development is exuberant. Centipede spawning and hatching are carried out during this period of time.

The temperature drops in autumn, and the little centipede hatched that year has grown to 5cm to 7cm. Because the little centipede grows very fast and has less fat in its body, in order to ensure its good winter, it is necessary to supply sufficient amount of meat, eggs and tofu with high protein and fat content, so that it can store enough fat and energy to lay the foundation for a safe winter.

Second, heating culture

The heating culture of centipede is also called non-hibernating culture, that is, the method of artificial temperature control is used to break the hibernation habit of centipede, so that it is in a good state of growth and development all the year round. The most critical equipment for heating and breeding is a greenhouse with a certain area that can be heated, controlled and well insulated. These greenhouses can be built or rebuilt using existing ordinary private houses and plastic greenhouses. No matter what kind of greenhouse they are, they must conform to the following four principles: first, they are economical and practical; second, they are equipped with mild and thermal insulation conditions; third, they can maintain good ventilation; fourth, the structure is scientific and reasonable and easy to manage.

Centipede farm

The daily management of heating aquaculture is basically the same as that of normal temperature aquaculture, the difference lies in the following three points: first, pay attention to control the temperature to keep it between 20 ℃ ~ 36 ℃; second, water evaporation is accelerated, and sufficient water must be replenished in time; third, due to the high temperature and relatively poor ventilation in the greenhouse, the leftover feed of centipedes must be cleaned in time to avoid decay and deterioration and form an unpleasant smell.

III. Cross culture

The so-called cross culture is the combination of heating culture and normal temperature culture to achieve the purpose of maximizing the production scale in the limited site. In the spring blooming season, when the outdoor temperature rises to more than 20 ℃, the small centipede (about 5 cm) in the greenhouse can be moved to the normal temperature pool to maximize the greenhouse space. The small centipede moved to the normal temperature pool can reach more than 12 centimeters after four months of growth, and then you can sell it. After this batch of centipedes are sold, if your greenhouse breeding pool is insufficient, you can continue to take out a batch of centipedes to be raised in the normal temperature pond, so repeatedly, you can achieve the purpose of expanding the production scale and obtaining the maximum economic benefits. The cross culture method is especially suitable for farmers with exclusive small courtyards.
