Grouper is a warm water bottom valuable fish. The meat is tender and nutritious. The live fish is sold to Hong Kong and Macao markets. It is regarded as a first-class dish. Supply exceeds demand. Its price is expensive and its economic value is very high. At present, grouper culture has three forms: net cage, embankment and pond culture. Most of the cultured seedlings come from small-sized fish caught in natural sea areas.
