It is generally believed that native chickens grow in natural environments and eat natural foods, and the quality of eggs produced will naturally be better. The eggs produced by the general chicken farm, that is, people often say "foreign eggs", because of the use of special laying hens and artificial feed, their nutritional value may not be as good as soil eggs. Therefore, even if the price is much higher, many people are still willing to buy local eggs, especially for the elderly, pregnant women and children to eat. So, what is the difference between soil eggs and "foreign eggs"? Which one has higher nutritional value?

Chicken eats natural food.

In the true sense, native chickens should be completely free-range, feeding in the woodland every day, eating only insects, weeds and other natural food. This kind of chicken because of the imbalance of nutrition, the egg size is relatively small, but because the pheasant eats more green leafy vegetables, the content of carotenoids and vitamin B2 in the egg yolk is high, so the egg yolk is larger and darker. However, in fact, in addition to the eggs laid by home-raised chickens, most of the mass-produced eggs commonly found on the market are laid by "foreign chickens." Some chicken farms stock laying hens, let them move freely in the woods and cotton fields, eat some natural food like native chickens, and feed a certain amount of feed to ensure the nutritional balance of laying hens. There is not much difference between this kind of egg and native egg, but the price is cheaper than pure native egg and much more expensive than "foreign egg". What we call "foreign eggs" are eggs laid by caged chickens, who eat only feed. This scientifically formulated feed can also include a variety of foods and nutrients, so the nutrition of this egg is no worse than the above two, but the price is the cheapest.

Each has its own nutritional value

As for the soil eggs and "foreign eggs" which nutrition is better, or "foreign eggs" nutritional value is higher.

The feed eaten by chickens in chicken farms is scientifically matched, and the nutrient content is comprehensively balanced. Therefore, the content of iron, calcium, magnesium and other mineral elements in eggs produced is higher than that of eggs. Secondly, a certain amount of dietary fiber is added to the feed eaten by foreign chickens, so that the cholesterol and fat content in egg yolk is much lower than that of native eggs, which is more suitable for the elderly to eat. At present, the United States has begun to sell low-fat, low-cholesterol specialty eggs. The eggs are 25% lower in saturated fat and 15% lower in cholesterol than regular eggs, several times higher in vitamin E and omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids, and rich in iodine and vitamin B2, which can prevent cardiovascular diseases, cancer and eye diseases.

However, native chickens lay very few eggs and have a long nutrient accumulation cycle, so the fat content of eggs laid is relatively high, which is not suitable for long-term consumption by the elderly. However, eggs also have advantages, which contain higher levels of omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids and phospholipids, which can promote cholesterol metabolism and are very beneficial to cardiovascular protection.

Eggs taste better.

Since eggs are no better than foreign eggs in nutrition, why do so many people love to eat them? Experts say the main reason is that eggs taste better. Because the fat content in the eggs is higher, so the egg yolk is larger, very suitable for cooking eggs and fried eggs, simple cooking methods can fully play its excellent taste. And ordinary egg white more suitable for doing steamed eggs or beat egg flower with.

So, is it a small, pink skin, egg yolk big and orange must be a soil egg? Many vendors claim that powder-shell eggs are real eggs, which is without any basis. Generally speaking, when white shell layers are crossed with brown shell layers, the eggs laid are powder shells, which can be achieved in both free-range and caged breeding. There are also some non-standard breeders who add pigments to chicken feed in order to make powder-shell eggs. Therefore, it is better not to buy powder-shell eggs that are too bright in color. In addition to having certain appearance characteristics, the real eggs are thicker and can only be distinguished by opening them. (Reprinted in hundreds)

Count the eggs sold in the market. There are more than 30 kinds of eggs. However, Fu Xianhua, Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department of Hangzhou City Agricultural Bureau, said bluntly: All eggs, nutrients are very small differences. As for native eggs and foreign eggs, even if there is a difference in nutrients, it is also a degree that cannot be detected by testing equipment. "Therefore, the country does not have a standard for eggs, nor can it formulate such a standard."

Fu Xianhua said that free-range chickens only exist in farmers 'homes. "The old woman in the village raises three or five chickens at home. She puts them in the fields or on the mountains and eats the eggs she lays." Strictly speaking, eggs produced in this way are called local eggs and local eggs. Therefore, there is only one possibility to obtain real eggs, that is, to collect them from households. "Farmers will definitely accumulate more before selling them," so the eggs collected in this way have a fatal weakness: they are not fresh enough. Therefore, Fu Xianhua himself would rather eat ordinary eggs.
