Scorpion is also called scorpion, whole insect, scorpion. Scorpion body contains scorpion toxin, medicinal value is very high, with the effect of wind town convulsion, Qufeng Tongluo, attack poison.

1. Build a pool

It is best to build pools in unoccupied houses or empty sheds. Scorpion pool with brick, pool length and width unlimited, height of 80 cm. After the pool is built, smooth it with cement. It is best to stick plastic sheets or glass around the scorpion pool to prevent scorpions from escaping. The bottom of the pool should be padded with about 6 cm of sand and smashed firmly. The pool is tiled and tiles are placed horizontally and vertically for scorpions to perch on.

2. Feed and feeding of scorpions

Scorpions like to eat succulent, soft insects. Such as mosquitoes, flies, mantis, grasshoppers and spiders, earthworms and other animals, but also like to eat alkaline earth and wheat bran and other things. Scorpion animal feed can be trapped by light, dig a hole with a diameter of 25 cm on the top of the scorpion roof, hang fluorescent lamp or black light above the hole, equip funnel under the lamp, turn on the light in the evening, lure insects into the scorpion room for scorpion predation. In addition, you can also raise earthworms, crickets and breeding meat maggots to feed scorpions. If the insects trapped and raised are not enough for scorpions to eat, fresh, non-contaminated animal meat can be fed appropriately. Chop the meat into minced meat, and then use small plastic sheets to wrap the meat into many small bags, more evenly into the pool. The number of feeding times depends on the temperature. Under normal circumstances, the temperature is below 15℃, feeding once every 6 ~7 days; the temperature is between 20℃ and 30℃, feeding once every 3 ~5 days. Each feed should not be too much, too much is easy to deteriorate and cause pollution, resulting in germs; too little is easy to cause scorpions not enough to eat and kill each other. The feeding time should be 5:00 ~6:00 pm.

III. Feeding management

1. Keep the appropriate temperature below 15℃, scorpions are in hibernation, stop or slow down growth; temperature above 40℃, scorpions desperately flee, and even die. Therefore, the temperature maintained at 25℃~30℃ is the best temperature for scorpion growth and development.

2. Control humidity scorpions like dry, afraid of humidity. The optimum relative humidity is 45%~50%. The moisture content of sand is between 15% and 20%, so that the sand is not dry or wet, and people do not feel stuffy in the scorpion room. Special attention should be paid to the sand should not be too wet, otherwise scorpions will be mealy mites, leading to death.

3. The success of scorpion breeding depends on drinking water. If the water supply is scarce, scorpions that are too dry can kill each other and die. Therefore, sponge can be used every day to absorb enough water or cold water into the scorpion pool. Every 3 days to 5 days in scorpion drinking water can be added to an antibiotic drugs (oxytetracycline, sulfanilamide, etc.), each drug about 4 kg of cold boiled water, mix well after absorption to the sponge, into the scorpion pool can be.

4. The ratio of male to female is generally 2:1, and they should be raised separately immediately after mating; pregnant scorpions can be raised in combination to maintain a quiet living environment. Pregnant scorpions begin to give birth about 40 days after mating and are kept separately in glass bottles or boxes when giving birth. 40 days after delivery, the young scorpion should be completely separated from the female scorpion.

IV. Prevention and control of scorpion disease

1. Black belly disease performance for the belly black swelling, severe hand squeeze will have black mucus outflow. Prevention and treatment: keep food and drinking water clean; use 1 g of raw mother food, 0.5 g of erythromycin, 500 g of mixed carbohydrate food, feed until the disease recovers.

2. Scorpion lice disease symptoms appear on the scorpion body yellow-brown or reddish brown dot-like mold spots, gradually spread around the expansion of the bulge, scorpion growth stagnation. Treatment: Oxytetracycline 0.5 grams can be mixed with 500 grams of food, feed until the disease recovered. Also available long-acting sulfanilamide 1.5 grams mixed food 1000 grams, even feed about a week.

3. Symptoms of tail disease are bright body luster, reduced or loss of limb function, tail dragging down, slow movement, crawling difficulty or prostration. Treatment: stop feeding food for 3 days to 5 days, and then mix with rhubarb soda 3 grams, bran 50 grams, water 60 grams to feed until the disease recovers.

5. Harvest and processing of scorpions

Scorpions are bred artificially and harvested once a year, preferably in autumn. Before catching, spray some white wine into the scorpion room. After the scorpion smells the wine, it will flee. At this time, pick it up with chopsticks, put it in a porcelain bottle or smooth basin, and then pour it into the jar.

Soak in clear water for 4 hours, wait for scorpions to spit out soil, take it out and put it into a pot, add a small amount of salt and boil it for 1 hour, wait for scorpions to take out their backs and dry them in the shade.
