Scorpion is also called whole scorpion, whole worm, clamp scorpion. Scorpion contains scorpion toxin, which has high medicinal value and has the effects of extinguishing wind and relieving spasm, dispelling wind and dredging collaterals and attacking poison.

Breeding technology and management of scorpion

First, build a pool

It is best to build a pool in an uninhabited house or in an empty shed. The scorpion pond is made of brick, the pool is unlimited in length and width, and its height is 80 cm. After the pool is finished, it is smoothed with cement. It is best to paste plastic sheeting or glass around the scorpion pool to prevent the scorpion from escaping. The bottom of the pool should be padded with about 6 centimeters of sand, smashing it firmly. The tiles are laid in the pool, and the tiles are placed horizontally and vertically for the scorpions to inhabit.

Second, scorpion feed and its feeding

Scorpions like to eat succulent and soft insects. Such as mosquitoes, flies, mantis, grasshoppers and spiders, earthworms and other animals, also like to eat alkaline soil and wheat bran. Scorpion's animal feed can be trapped by light, dig a hole 25 cm in diameter on the scorpion roof, hang fluorescent or black light above the hole, equipped with funnel under the lamp, turn on the light in the evening, lure insects into the scorpion room for scorpion prey. In addition, earth yuan, crickets and maggots can be raised to feed scorpions. If the insects trapped and raised are not enough for scorpions to eat, you can properly feed some fresh, pollution-free animal meat. Chop the meat into meat stuffing, then wrap the meat stuffing into many parcels with small plastic sheeting and put them into the pool more evenly. The number of feeding times depends on the temperature. In general, the temperature is below 15 ℃, once every 6 ~ 7 days, and once every 3 ~ 5 days when the temperature is 20 ℃ ~ 30 ℃. Each feeding should not be too much, too much is easy to deteriorate to cause pollution, produce bacteria; too little is easy to cause scorpions not enough to eat and kill each other. The appropriate feeding time is from 5pm to 6pm.

III. Feeding and management

1. Keeping the appropriate temperature below 15 ℃, the scorpion is in a hibernating state and stops or slows down its growth; when the temperature is higher than 40 ℃, the scorpion runs out desperately and even dies. Therefore, keeping the temperature at 25 ℃ ~ 30 ℃ is the best temperature for scorpion growth and development.

two。 Control humidity scorpions like to be dry and afraid of moisture. The best air relative humidity is 45% to 50%. The water content of sandy soil is between 15% and 20%, so that the sandy soil is not dry or wet, and people do not feel stuffy in the scorpion room. It is important to pay special attention to the fact that the sandy soil should not be too wet, otherwise the scorpion will give birth to acariasis and cause death.

3. The success of feeding scorpion with adequate drinking water lies in drinking water. If the water supply is scarce, scorpions will kill each other if they are too dry. Therefore, you can use a sponge to absorb enough water or cold water into the scorpion pond every day. A kind of antibiotics (oxytetracycline, sulfonamide, etc.) can be added to the scorpion's drinking water every 3 to 5 days. Each tablet is about 4 kg of cold boiled water, mix it well, absorb it on the sponge and put it into the scorpion pond.

4. The male and female ratio is generally 2 ∶ 1, which should be reared separately immediately after mating; pregnant scorpions can be reared in combination to maintain a quiet living environment. Pregnant scorpions begin to give birth about 40 days after mating and should be kept separately in glass bottles or boxes when giving birth. 40 days after delivery, the baby scorpion should all leave the mother scorpion.

IV. Prevention and treatment of scorpion disease

1. Black belly disease is characterized by a blackened and swollen belly. In severe cases, black mucus will flow out when squeezed with the hands. Prevention and treatment: keep food and drinking water clean; feed 1 gram of food, 0.5 grams of erythromycin and 500 grams of sugars until the disease is cured.

two。 The symptom of scorpion lice disease is the appearance of yellow-brown or reddish-brown spots on the scorpion, which gradually spreads and expands around, and the growth of the scorpion is stagnant. Treatment: 0.5 grams of oxytetracycline can be mixed with 500 grams of food, fed until the disease is cured. You can also mix 1000 grams of food with 1.5g of long-acting sulfonamide for about a week.

3. The symptoms of tailing disease are bright body luster, reduced or loss of limb function, tail drag, slow movement, difficult crawling or motionless. Treatment: stop feeding for 3 to 5 days, then mix with 3 grams of rhubarb soda, 50 grams of wheat bran and 60 grams of water until the disease is cured.

5. Harvest and processing of scorpions

Scorpions are reared in captivity and harvested once a year, preferably in autumn. Before catching, spray some liquor into the scorpion's room. after smelling the alcohol, the scorpion will flee out, pick it up with chopsticks, put it in a porcelain bottle or smooth basin, and pour it into the jar.

Soak the scorpion in clean water for 4 hours, after the scorpion spits out the soil, remove it and put it into the pot, add a small amount of salt and boil for 1 hour, wait for the scorpion back to be yellowish brown, dry and then sell.

Specific some companies provide seed recovery, please seriously examine the authenticity of the company, careful investment.
