The normal temperature condition means that under the natural temperature, it imitates the living environment of the scorpion in the wild, and builds it into a facility or site which is not only in line with the living habits, growth and reproduction conditions of the scorpion, but also convenient for feeding and management. According to the small number of people in the breeding facilities or sites, they can be divided into three types: large, medium and small. Although the construction of aquaculture facilities (breeding rooms, farms) of all sizes are different, they are more or less the same in structure and layout. Several common normal temperature breeding facilities are introduced as follows:

1. Raising in pots (pots, cans) this is a small-scale and simple method of breeding in small containers. Its biggest characteristic is small size, light weight, easy to carry, suitable for indoor breeding.

Tile pots, plastic pots and ordinary water tanks with smooth inner walls (to prevent scorpions from escaping) can be selected, regardless of the size, lay a layer of 5-10 cm thick weathered soil or loam at the bottom of the container and smash it, cover it with sand, and then stack some tiles, hollow bricks or small wooden boards on the sand layer, as the pallets of scorpion habitat activities. The tiles built into stacks should be folded one by one, preferably in the shape of a pagoda, and the four corners between the sheets can be glued with cement paste or yellow mud to increase the space in which the scorpions perch. The stack body is about 6 cm away from the inner wall of the container, and there is a sponge for water supply on the stack body (figure 12).

It is best not to use the method of sprinkling water into the container to adjust humidity. Because when the temperature is high, if more water is sprinkled, it will cause muggy and humid in the container, which is disadvantageous to the life of the scorpion; while too little sprinkling and insufficient water volatilization will lead to muggy and dry in the container, which is also harmful to the life of the scorpion. At present, a better way to regulate humidity is to put some grass with thick roots or large leaves with twigs into the container, which will volatilize water with changes in external temperature to meet the humidity requirements of scorpions; when the temperature is too high, it can also be used for scorpions to climb above to cool down. Grass or leaves should not only be put as much as possible, but also pay attention to reserve a certain space to prevent scorpions from using grass or leaves as ladders to escape. When the temperature is high, replace dry or moldy grass and leaves in time. In order to prevent the scorpion from escaping, it is best to cover the mouth of the basin (jar, jar) with barbed gauze or nylon cover.

Generally speaking, each ordinary basin can raise 60 ~ 100 scorpions; a shallow tank with a caliber of about 60 cm can raise more than 300 scorpions; each can bottle can raise 1 scorpion, or 10 ~ 50 scorpions and 2 ~ 5 scorpions. This not only has a reasonable density, but also solves the problem of killing each other. Pot (tank, pot) culture is more suitable for a small number of primary or specialized breeding of young scorpion, seed scorpion, pregnant scorpion, can also be used for small-scale scientific experiments.

2. The box culture can choose the waste packing box that has not put chemicals, the size is not limited, build a hole on one side of the wooden box, the inner wall of the box is surrounded by an anti-escape glass strip or plastic film, covered with a yarn cover or a movable wooden cover with holes. The scorpion nest in the box can be piled into a beehive with adobe for scorpions to perch, and there is a certain gap between the adobe and the surrounding box board for scorpions to move and hunt.

It is also possible to make a self-made wooden box with a length, width and height of about 100 cm × 60 cm × 80 cm, the bottom of the box is covered with sand 3 cm × 5 cm thick, and there are two mud plank stacks of 72 cm × 12 cm × 60 cm on both sides of the box. The stack body is 3 cm 5 cm away from the box wall, and the activity ground for scorpions is between the two rows of stacks. The inner wall of the box is surrounded by a glass strip or plastic film to prevent the scorpion from escaping.

In addition, some people have designed a more standard scorpion box, but the cost is higher. In this way, the structure of the scorpion box is similar to that of a beehive. the lid, bottom and sides of the box are nailed with planks, and the front and back are empty. On the inner walls of the two sides of the wooden box, small strips of wood are nailed horizontally, and the upper and lower strips are about 5 cm apart. The height of the box depends on the amount of scorpion. Use small wooden strips as a support, insert plywood or fibreboard into the box, the front and rear length of the shelf should be greater than the front and back length of the box. Such a box can put multi-layer shelves, and each layer of board can raise scorpions, improving the utilization rate of space. Put the wooden box in a low wall surrounded by glass strips 20 to 25 centimeters high to prevent scorpions falling to the ground from escaping. The distance between the box and the glass wall is not less than 20 cm to prevent high scorpions from falling outside the wall (figure 13).

3. Room maintenance can choose a certain area of field outdoors, and build a simple scorpion room to raise scorpions. The heat preservation effect of house-raised scorpion is better, and it is more suitable for breeding in the north.
