Imported species of scorpion, there are often two cases, one is from the abdomen and both sides, found that there are rice granule embryos, and even from the abdomen to see the stripes on the back of the young crab, this situation is called waiting to give birth to scorpion. The time of childbirth is two or three days, and more than ten days. Another case is that the belly is enlarged from the back, while there is no rice-shaped embryo formation from the abdomen, but the brown eggs are vaguely seen from the side, which is called pregnant scorpion. If the temperature is controlled between 32 and 36 ℃, most of them give birth within 40 days.

Just introduced scorpion, do not rush to put in the pool, it is best to put in a larger basin, and then one by one "grading" (when the introduction of scorpion, the male scorpion has been separated, can be put into the pool). The specific method is: use tweezers to hold the tail root of the scorpion at the second and third Zhu section, and the scorpion curls automatically so that its abdomen can be observed. If you find a scorpion waiting to give birth, you can put it in a baby bottle filled with 3 centimeters of sand. You can put two in each bottle, and the humidity of the sand can be wet. Put two yellow powder worms in the bottle and let them eat freely. Then collect the litter bottle containing the scorpion to be born and put it on the litter rack in the litter room. The rest of the pregnant scorpion can be put into the breeding pond for observation and should be "graded" every few days. In the daily management, we should check the birth bottle one by one every day, and if we find that there is a baby, we should clip the sterile mother scorpion into another bottle, put one or two of the already born together, and record the date of birth for future management. When the sand in the bottle is too dry, you can use a sponge or other container to drip water along the bottle wall to keep it moisturized. If you find any rotten and spoiled dead insects, clean them up in time.

Raising scorpion well is the basis for the development of artificial scorpion breeding. First of all, we should choose a big, strong male scorpion. As the saying goes, "the female scorpion has a good nest, the male scorpion has a good slope." After mating, it is best to raise separately. The scorpion nest for raising scorpions should be clean and quiet, the feed should be fresh and varied, the temperature and humidity should be normal, and the density should be relaxed appropriately. In this way, a group of scorpions with strong body and good quality can be cultivated.

The management of mating scorpions. Under the condition of constant temperature culture, scorpion groups can mate at any time. The male scorpion shows restlessness before mating, looking everywhere for a mate-the female scorpion, which will mate once it is found, and if it cannot be found, it will arrange the sperm pods on tiles or stones. Male scorpions take a long time before estrus and mating, usually about 15-30 minutes or more.

When mating, the scorpion uses the tentacles to clamp the female's tentacles tightly, and drags the female around and crawls around like a dance. The male scorpion's tail goes up and shakes at the same time, and the chlamys also keep swinging to explore the situation on the ground and find a suitable mating place. If a flat piece of stone or hard ground can be found, otherwise the male scorpion will use the 1st and 2nd pairs of feet to plane, smooth and stabilize the soil under him to prepare for the fertilization of the female. The process lasts about a few minutes.

Then, the male scorpion trembles all over the body and tightens the female scorpion, stretches his head and chest to contact the female scorpion's head and chest, and then tilts the 1st and 2nd pairs of feet to alternately touch the female scorpion and its vicinity. Then, the male scorpion's rear abdomen swings up and down, the reproductive nunnery opens, and the front abdomen is close to the ground to produce seminal pods, which are firmly glued to the stones or the ground. Then the male scorpion retreated and slowly lifted the front abdomen, and all the seminal pods were pulled out and fixed to the ground at a 70-degree angle. At the same time, the male scorpion pulls the female scorpion over, and the female's reproductive mole opens and moves forward. When the reproductive cavity touches the tip of the sperm pod, the upper part of the sperm pod is inserted into the reproductive cavity of the female scorpion and ruptured. Because of the stinging pain, the female scorpion suddenly retreated and broke free from the male scorpion's grip, causing the seminal pods to be pulled out and fell to the ground (or all the seminal pods entered the reproductive cavity of the female crabs and no longer came out). The sperm that enters the female crab combines with the egg to form a fertilized egg. This is the process of scorpion fertilization. The modification process will take about 10 minutes. Of course, mating is not always smooth, and there are many unsuccessful situations. If some can not discharge the sperm pod, some can not be pierced into the reproductive cavity of the female crab, still standing on the ground. If only a large number of broken sperm pods are left on the ground, it indicates that the mating success rate is very high. After mating and fertilization, the sperm of the female crab can be stored in the seminal vesicle for a long time. As a result, scorpions can reproduce for life after mating, but the reproduction rate will decrease year by year.

The key to the management of scorpion mating period is to create suitable external conditions so that male and female crabs can mate smoothly in a good environment. These conditions are:

① temperature between 28 and 38 ℃. In this range, the higher the temperature, the higher the mating success rate.
