Scorpion is not only a valuable medicine, but also can make high-end dishes, the demand is increasing. Therefore, scorpion breeding has gradually become a hot topic in recent years, but many scorpion breeders do not have a good command of scorpion breeding techniques, so the benefit is not high. To raise scorpions well, you should master the following skills.

1. The nearby introduction and long-distance introduction will cause death due to the differences in environment, temperature, humidity and so on. New scorpions must be introduced to the nearest scorpion farm.

two。 Avoid scaring the scorpion afraid of moving and knowing its nest, turning its nest at will will frighten it, and it will not return to its nest everywhere, do not eat or drink, and will die slowly.

3. Fresh scorpions have a habit of cannibalizing each other, but if there is a sufficient supply of live insects (such as turtles, Tenebrio Molitor, etc.), they seldom eat each other. Therefore, feed is the key, we must first solve the feed problem.

4. Nursing scorpions during pregnancy usually give birth between July and August. If male and female scorpions are mixed together, the female scorpion will miscarry because it can not find a quiet place to give birth, and the baby scorpion will be eaten by the male scorpion and can not reproduce enough scorpions. Therefore, when pregnant scorpions give birth, they must be kept alone and keep quiet.

5. After giving birth to the pregnant scorpion, the scorpion has to climb on the back of the female scorpion for 4 to 6 days before it can come down and walk on its own. If the scorpion does not shed its skin on the back of the female scorpion for the first time, it is difficult to survive for a few days. If the mother scorpion and the baby scorpion stay together for more than 10 days without supplying feed or water, the mother scorpion will eat the baby scorpion mercilessly when she is hungry and thirsty.

6. After the young scorpion shed its skin on the back of the female scorpion for the first time, it has a great appetite and eats a small insect a day. But the young scorpion's predation ability is poor, the physical strength is not as good as the rhubarb powder insect and other insects as feed, and can not stab the insect, the baby scorpion will eat each other. If there are not enough small yellow powder insects or other small insects, it is very difficult for baby scorpions to grow into scorpions. Scorpion breeding should pay attention to this.

7. Anti-escape measures scorpions can't fly, but they are very good at crawling. Therefore, whether it is pot culture, box culture, or pond culture, shelf culture, should be surrounded by wide-edged transparent glue or glass strips or plastic sheeting, so that scorpions can not escape organically.

8. The scorpion's respiratory organs and reproductive system are in the lower part of the body, so it is most afraid of flooding. There must be no ditch under the scorpion nest. Usually add water in the daytime, not too much at a time, as long as the soil is a little wet. To provide drinking water to the scorpion, use a small plate to hold a few absorbent sponges or cotton, usually every 4 to 5 days to change the new water. If you let the scorpion drink spoiled water for a long time, the scorpion will get sick and die.

9. Scorpions are poisonous and have few enemies. But the most frightening thing is the mouse. In summer, the mouse will scramble to eat feed such as yellow powder worm or ground turtle worm. In winter, scorpions hibernate without defense ability, easy to be eaten by rats, it is difficult to prevent, therefore, rodent prevention work must be done well.

Raising scorpions must do the following.

First, build a scorpion nest where the scorpion likes to be wet, and live in a dry place when resting. The scorpion nest should be built in a wet and dark place, so that it can be dry and wet, and simulate the living environment of wild animals as far as possible, so that it can sleep during the day and go out at night.

Second, strictly control the temperature and humidity, the most suitable temperature for scorpion growth and reproduction is 28030 ℃, in this temperature range, scorpion food intake is large, the growth rate is fast. The humidity is controlled between 75% and 85%.

Third, if there are too many male scorpions, it will disturb the normal birth of female scorpions. Too dense young scorpions will cause uneven strength, the strong bully and kill each other. Their feeding practice shows that there are no more than 500female scorpions per square meter, no more than 4000 second-year-old scorpions per square meter, no more than 3000 third-year-old scorpions per square meter, and 2000 adult scorpions per square meter over four years old. in order to reduce the killing of scorpions.

4. feed for diversified scorpions, the main feed for scorpions is Tenebrio Molitor, but not one. Many kinds of insects should be collected as feed, such as soft-shelled turtles, yellow pink insects, cockroaches and all kinds of flying insects. Don't eat too much each time when feeding, or the scorpion will die. Scorpions like to eat live worms, so pay attention to cleaning up dead worms in the food in time. At the same time, we should pay more attention to meet the scorpion drinking water, but also properly feed some succulent feed such as watermelon peel and vegetable leaves.

Timely separation of scorpions of all ages in the process of scorpion growth, the strong scorpions are most likely to eat the weak scorpions, and the unmolted ones can eat the weak scorpions that are molting. In order to reduce the occurrence of this situation, other utensils and habitats should be prepared in advance, and scorpions of different sizes and strength should be raised separately in time, otherwise it is easy to cause failure of scorpion breeding.
