Choose ceramic or plastic products instead of metal containers for holding health sand. Drinking water and water supply should be clean and pollution-free. The installation of drinking fountains should take into account the hygiene needs to prevent feathers and feces from falling into the water. Give pigeons regular baths, and young pigeons raised on the Internet take a bath every 15 days. The pigeons in captivity take a bath by spraying water with sprayers, once every 20 days.

In order to ensure that meat pigeons are free of pollution and residual poison, it is best not or as little as possible to use chemicals and self-breeding; the introduction of breeding pigeons must go through strict quarantine and isolation observation; pigeon farms cannot mix other poultry and livestock; breeders should be healthy and disinfected by disinfection room before entering the breeding area. Pay attention to cleaning and regular disinfection, such as frequent cleaning of pigeon houses, cleaning and disinfection of material troughs, drinking fountains, health sand cups and other supplies, spray disinfection of pigeon houses with disinfectant, and spread ground disinfection with quicklime; if sick pigeons are found, quarantine should be carried out in time.
