Partridge is a kind of special rare bird with high economic value. In recent years, partridge breeding has increased year by year, but some farmers, especially new farmers, are still lack of experience in seedling raising and management.

1. Feeding for the first 3 days of hatching

The temperature of the hatching room should be kept at 36-38 ℃ and the humidity should be 50%-70%. Turn into the nanny room (box) when the feathers are dry and your feet can stand and walk. The nanny box can be made into 2m × 1m x 0.4m. The bottom of the box is covered with a clean waste blanket or sack (do not use fiber). The temperature of the nanny room should reach 36 ℃. Drink 0.01% potassium permanganate water or 0.02% oxytetracycline water on the first day (be careful to drink all day, preferably boiled cold water). Drink glucose water the next day. In the afternoon, you can sprinkle some chicken feed on the waste blanket or hard paper to let the chicks peck freely.

2. Temperature

The temperature in the nanny room must not be lower than 36 ℃. The chicks in the box do not pile up, have more room for free movement, find food and drink on their own, chase and play, which shows that the temperature is suitable, otherwise the temperature is too low. Hang two 60-watt light bulbs 15 centimeters from the bottom of the box. One can keep warm, and the other can increase the lighting time.

3. Check and patrol frequently

At this time, partridges due to hatching soon, poor functional adjustment, clustering and like to pile up to sleep, timid, easy to be frightened, the most prone to squeeze death and injury. Partridges also have the bad habit of pecking red (blood), weak and anal. Once the injured are found, they should be quarantined and kept alone.

4. Epidemic prevention

7-day-old partridges will be vaccinated for the first time, with Newcastle disease Ⅱ attenuated freeze-dried vaccine, 1:1 aseptic water for nasal drip. The second live vaccine with low virulence was given at the age of 30 days. Methods: the water was cut off for 2 or 3 hours, and then the Newcastle disease Ⅰ attenuated freeze-dried vaccine was used to drink it with water (instructions for use on the medicine), or intramuscular injection.

5. Get out of the box

7-day-old chicks can be out of the box (for sale) or transferred to ordinary indoor breeding, and put some rice husks on the ground. Hang one or two 60-watt bulbs not high above the ground. Heat preservation measures should be taken indoors when the weather suddenly turns cold. After 30 days, the foraging ability of partridges increased and their body weight increased significantly. At this time, the ecology is basically stable and the survival rate is high. Put some sand in the trough so that it can eat naturally. Partridges have to change their feathers three times from birth to 90 days old, so they are required to supply high-quality full-price feed and green fodder to ensure comprehensive nutrition.
