Cicadas, also known as "cicadas", are rich in nutrition, taste or mouth, and become fashionable delicacies. The technology of artificial breeding cicada monkey is simple, the investment is very little, and the effect is quick.

Collection of cicada eggs: in sunny weather, female cicadas mostly lay eggs on the branches of green willow and apple trees, and especially like to lay eggs on white willow. After spawning, the branches will wither on their own for 3 to 10 days, and if you look carefully, you will see that there are granular eggs attached to the withered branches. Picking withered branches by hand can be used as seedlings to hatch cicada nymphs. There are about 50 to 100 cicada eggs in an egg branch. 2 to 3 egg branches can be buried per square meter.

Choose the site: the site for burying egg branches should be in poplar and willow forests, old apple orchards and white willow beaches. The soil quality requires no desertification, no consolidation, no ants, moles, loose wet loam zone, and it is appropriate to choose places with more cicada monkeys last year as sites for burying egg branches.

Burying egg branches: White wicker seedlings can be dug by the river or moist land and planted in loose soil. The plant spacing is 35 cm, the row spacing is 90 cm, and 2300 plants are planted per mu. Between the two rows of white wicker, soak 3cm deep and bury egg branches to cover soil 3cm; it can also be in poplar and willow woods and old apple orchards, 2m away from the main tree trunk, 3cm deep in trenches, buried in egg branches and covered with flat soil.

Aquaculture management: after cicada eggs are buried in the ground, attention should be paid to drainage and waterlogging in the rainy season. Water white willow, willow or apple trees on dry days. At the same time of watering, it is necessary to apply farm manure to promote luxuriant growth and provide sufficient nutrition for the cicada larva-the young cicada monkey, so as to make the young cicada monkey grow vigorously, increase the individual and increase the yield. It is necessary to strictly guard against the trampling of human and livestock and the infringement of natural enemies such as ants and moles.

Harvesting and processing: after burying egg branches for 2 to 3 years, cicada monkeys begin to grow and mature gradually. The harvest time is usually in the Summer Solstice every year, if there is a lot of rain, the fat and strong dark monkeys will start to get out of the ground from 4: 00 to 5: 00 in the morning, or the cicada monkeys will get out of the ground at any time after the rain, and quickly look for wicker or stem to crawl up. It will molt and turn into a cicada after 2 to 4 hours. According to this characteristic of the cicada monkey, after the birth of the Summer Solstice, if there is no rain and drought, the breeding site can be artificially watered to lead the cicada monkey to be unearthed. Before the cicada monkey is unearthed, or before the cicada monkey matures, a smooth plastic film can be tied around the tree trunk 30 centimeters above the ground, so that the cicada monkey can no longer climb the tree for harvest.
