I. characteristics and habits

Meat mandarin duck crown like a chicken crown, body like a goose, mouth like an eagle's mouth, claws like an eagle's claw. It can wade on land, swim in the water, and must have the ability to fly. Meat mandarin ducks are selected from the wild. Their ancestors lived in the mountains with an altitude of 500 '3000 meters, foraging on the edge of woodland during the day, living on branches at night, and sleeping in rain and snow unharmed. Meat mandarin duck has a strong adaptability, strong resistance, not easy to get sick. Feeding can be refined or coarse, such as rice bran, grass, green vegetables, miscellaneous grains, earthworms, field snails, clam meat, mosquitoes and flies. The cold resistance can reach-25 ℃, and the high temperature resistance can reach 42 ℃.

The domesticated meat mandarin duck has a strong physique, wide in front and narrow in back, and the body is horizontal with the ground; the wing is as long as the tail; the head is big and neck is thick, and the head has irregular red and black sarcoma; the legs and chest muscles are well developed, accounting for about 50% of the total carcass muscle; body feathers are pure black, pure white or black and white. The meat mandarin duck is gentle and quiet, not noisy, mild in nature, gregarious, resistant to rough feeding and strong vitality. Male mandarin ducks give off a fragrant smell during the breeding season, which can dispel mosquitoes and flies and prey on mosquitoes and flies. The number of female mandarin ducks is 150-180, the highest is 238, the egg weight is 70-80 grams, the eggshell is white. Third, the hatching of meat mandarin ducks

1. Natural hatching

Generally speaking, female mandarin ducks lay eggs about 5 months after they come out of their shell. After laying 20-30 eggs each time, the female mandarin duck naturally nests and hatches at 35 days. The female mandarin duck continued to lay eggs after stopping production for 10-15 days. This cycle, repeated 2-3 cycles a year, can raise 50-60 chicks a year, and the high yield can reach 80.

2. The temperature and humidity of artificial hatching ①: the temperature in the incubator was controlled at 38.5-38 ℃ in the early stage (1-15 days) and 38-37.5 ℃ in the middle stage (16-30 days). The humidity requirement is 60% in the early stage of hatching, 50% in the middle stage, 60% in the later stage and 70% in the time of hatching. ② egg turning: turn eggs every 2-3 hours, turn eggs 1-2 times a day. ③ cold eggs: cold eggs can not be cold in the early stage of incubation, but cold eggs should be cooled once a day in the middle stage and 3-4 times a day in the later stage. ④ spray: from mid-hatching to hatching, spray the eggs with warm water of 35 degrees Celsius once every day when the eggs are cold. Wait for the eggs to cool dry before putting them into the machine to continue hatching. ⑤ ventilation: the incubator should have an electric fan with a vent, so that the temperature in the machine is uniform and the air is well-ventilated, especially in the middle and later stages of incubation, and the door can be opened slightly if necessary. ⑥ midwifery: after 35 days of hatching, meat mandarin duck seedlings break out of their shells. However, manual shelling should be carried out for those without shell breaking and difficulty in shelling, so as to improve the hatching rate.

IV. Feeding of nestling mandarin ducks

The main results are as follows: 1. nutrition requires that the young mandarin ducks grow quickly and the digestibility is weak, and the ingredients with higher nutritional value can be fed with 551, 511 and so on. It can also be prepared by yourself.

2. Environmental conditions of brooding within 1-3 days after hatching, the nestling mandarin ducks are sensitive to temperature and like to sleep. The temperature should be kept at no less than 20 degrees Celsius. The temperature decreased gradually after 3 days.

3. Feeding

It can be eaten 18-24 hours after it comes out of the shell. Put the feed on a platter or sack and let it eat freely. Feed 5 times a day, 4 times during the day and 1 time at night. After coming out of the shell for 16 hours, the nestling mandarin ducks were fed with 0.02% potassium permanganate water for 1-2 days, and then water was directly used as drinking water.
