The striping propagation of flowers and trees is to cut or wrap the plant branches in the soil, sprout new roots with maternal nutrition, and then cut away from the parent plant to become a new plant. The characteristic is to promote its rooting without leaving the mother plant, the survival rate is high, the shape is easy, but the operation is troublesome, the amount of reproduction is small, so it is more suitable for family flower cultivation. Striping reproduction is generally divided into ordinary crimping, recumbent crimping, piling earth striping and high-altitude crimping and other methods, which can be operated according to different kinds of flowers and trees.

Ordinary strip pressing

Suitable for tufted flowers and trees, such as wax plum, spring welcome, mast, jasmine and so on. Select the 1-2-year-old branch near the ground at the base, first cut several branches with a knife near the ground under the node, or carry out circular peeling; then trench along the rhizosphere or basin edge, with a depth of 10 murals 15 cm, press the branch down into the soil, and clamp it downward into a U shape with a wire nest to prevent rebound; then cover the soil and expose the tip of the branch to the outside, with the main stick tied up so as not to break it. This method is mostly carried out in early spring or late autumn, spring striping, autumn cutting, autumn striping, the following spring cutting and planting.

Recumbent strip

Suitable for long branches and vine flowers and trees, such as chrysanthemum, Fujimoto rose, ivy, Lingxiao and so on. Bend the branches and stems and lie flat in the soil or shallow ditches, cover them with soil, and cut off and plant them after taking root. This method can also be cut with a knife under each node, and multiple seedlings can be obtained at one time. Soil pressing is suitable for flowers and trees with many tillering buds, clumps and branches that are not easy to bend, such as Yingchun, Chinese wolfquat, goldfinch, eight immortal flowers, June snow, golden bell flower, sticking begonia and so on. Before pressing, first cut the cortex at the base of the branch, and then cultivate the soil with a height of 30ml / 40cm, and then often keep the soil moist. After the branches take root, the soil is planed and cut off from the mother plant, which is used for separate planting to become a new plant.

High-altitude pressing strip

Suitable for non-tillering buds at the base, cutting is not easy to survive, branches are not easy to bend, such as rose, sweet-scented osmanthus, Milan, Magnolia, magnolia, goose palm wood, dragon blood tree, rubber tree and so on. High pressure is usually carried out in late spring and early summer, and 2-year-old sturdy branches are generally selected. First, ring peeling or engraving is carried out under the branches, reaching deep into the cortex. After being treated with rooting hormone, tie up the plastic film at the lower end of the wound, then reverse it, and fill it with moist moss, peat or fine sand. Seal the mouth and leave a little space in order to replenish the water and undertake Rain Water. Keep the matrix moist, neither lose water halfway, but also not get wet. After months of maintenance, the roots have grown rich in autumn, cut off from the mother plant in autumn or the following spring, planted in flowerpots or open fields, and then cultivated for 1-2 years can blossom and watch.
