The effect of feeding soft-shelled turtle with yellow powder worm is very ideal. The soft-shelled turtle requires high protein content in the diet, and the best feed protein content is between 40% and 50%. From the nutritional composition table of Tenebrio Molitor, it can be seen that the protein content of Tenebrio Molitor is quite high, so it is suitable to be used as feed for soft-shelled turtles, and the ratio of essential amino acids in dry powder is also suitable for animal absorption and transformation. The dietary fat and calorie requirements of soft-shelled turtles are also similar to those of yellow powder insects. Feeding fresh yellow powder insect to soft-shelled turtle can supplement many kinds of vitamins, trace elements and nutrients lacking in plant feed, and improve the vitality and disease resistance of soft-shelled turtle. Therefore, Tenebrio Molitor is an ideal feed for artificial culture of soft-shelled turtle.

Yellow powder insect

Raising soft-shelled turtles with Tenebrio Molitor is different from raising birds and scorpions. The survival time of Tenebrio Molitor in water should be taken into account when feeding in the water. After throwing the live yellow powder worm into the water, the worm will suffocate within 10 minutes due to immersion in the abdominal valve of the worm. After 2 hours of water temperature above 20 ℃, the worm will begin to rot, blacken and soften, and then gradually stink. When the worm begins to soften and blacken, it can no longer be used as a material. In this way, when ao continues to feed on rotten yellow powder insects, it will cause disease. Therefore, when feeding soft-shelled turtles with yellow powder insects, the first thing to do is to master the food intake of soft-shelled turtles, and it is appropriate to eat them within 2 hours. When the water temperature is more than 25 ℃ in spring and summer, the soft-shelled turtle can be fed 2-3 times a day, and the insects should be put on the feed table when the worms are thrown. During the second feeding, it is necessary to observe whether the insects put in the previous time have been eaten up, and if they are not finished, do not continue to feed. The soft-shelled turtle's food intake is relatively small when the water temperature is between 16-20 ℃ in autumn and winter, so it can be fed with Tenebrio Molitor once a day. If there are artificial heating conditions, the water temperature at about 25 ℃ can increase the feeding times, it is best to "eat less and eat more" to ensure that the worm is fresh. The daily feeding amount of fresh insects in soft-shelled turtle growing season is about 10% of body weight.
