"soft gold"-- White jade snail

White jade snail, commonly known as white meat snail, gets its name because of its white meat. It belongs to mollusc phylum, polypod, terrestrial shell and so on. Hermaphroditic, among all the edible snail species in the world, it is second to none.

White jade snail is one of the special animals in China, with special value, special nutrition, special flavor, special purpose, thick meat, rich nutrition, high protein, low fat, cholesterol tends to zero, rich in more than 20 kinds of amino acids. It is also the best tonic for astronauts and athletes.

At present, domestic snail dishes have developed ten series of more than 200 dishes, nearly 40 kinds of health preservation, physical fitness, deep processing, finishing products. Food snails and eggs can effectively treat more than 20 diseases such as high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. Snail enzyme (powerful medical, cosmetic raw material) extracted from snail mucus is sold at a price of more than 30 yuan per gram in China. (in the past, when China relied on imports, US $100 per gram), 3 grams of snail enzyme could be extracted from the digested mucus collected by fresh snails. After extracting snail enzymes, the meat quality remained unchanged, and snail viscera and shell could be dried and crushed to make high-grade animal feed.

I. feeding characteristics

"less feed". It takes only 6 months for the snail to hatch to sell (35 murmur50 grams), and only 500 grams of green feed and 50 grams of concentrate feed are needed. A breeding snail can turn into nearly a thousand snails a year, of which more than 400 are commercial snails.

"easy to raise". Based on the feeding and management of 30,000 animals in an ordinary labor force, it takes only 1.5 to 2 hours a day to start work. Easy to raise

"take effect quickly". White jade snails have a short mature period. The breeding snail has the advantages of fast reproduction, high survival rate and an incidence of less than 1%. The breeding snail lays eggs every two months, and each snail lays 1200 eggs a year. The young snails are fed for 6 months to sexually mature and lay eggs. This kind of snail gives birth, children and grandchildren are endless, and a batch of commercial snails can be matured for sale every month.

"High efficiency". For example, in a house of 25 square meters, indoor breeding is carried out. First of all, 100 snails are raised, and three-dimensional shelf farming is carried out. In that year, it can grow to more than 50000 snails. Except for some snails and semi-finished products, commodity snails can be sold for more than 1500 kilograms. The annual output value can reach 22500 yuan, and a net profit of 15000 yuan can be obtained.

Second, the living habits of Baiyu snails

1. The habit of loving warmth: the temperature needed for its fastest growth is between 25 and 30 degrees.

2. the habit of loving dampness:

(1) the humidity of the air must not be less than 50%, and the humidity of the breeding soil must not be less than 20%. But too much humidity is not good, if the atmospheric humidity is saturated, that is, 100%, and the humidity of the feeding box is more than 85%, various pathogenic bacteria cause mildew of the food in the box and make it sick.

(2) the snail's good wetness is also reflected in the choice of food. if it has a choice, it will eat the food with the highest water content first. for example, when vegetables and fruits are fed at the same time, it will only eat vegetable leaves instead of tree leaves. Therefore, snail feed should be based on fresh, juicy food.

(3) the snail's good wetness is also shown in that it likes to live in moist soil. If the air humidity meets its requirements, it rests and moves in places with plenty of air outside the soil except during the spawning period. If the humidity of the air is too low and a large amount of water is lost in the body, it will inhabit the land. Therefore, the thickness of the soil in the feeding box should be more than 2 cm higher than that of the snail shell, and the humidity should not be less than 50%. The soil in the box is not only for habitat, the snail can also absorb some trace elements from the soil to supply the skeleton needed for the synthesis of various proteins in the body. Therefore, the frequent replacement of the feeding soil in the box is not only to maintain hygiene, but also to supply the essential trace elements for snails.

3. Obvious dark habits.

Snails are afraid of strong light stimulation and have obvious dark habits. I like to live in a dark environment. It belongs to animals that lie dormant during the day and come out at night. If it is raised in the wild or in the open, it is most active before dawn. In dim light, it can see more than 20 centimeters of food, while in strong light, it can only see food within 4 millimeters, so even in a windowed breeding room, it is motionless during the day and all activities are carried out at night. Darkness is by no means dark. If the snail is kept in complete darkness, it is not good for its growth and reproduction, because the weak light not only allows it to see food, but also needs a certain amount of light to stimulate its gonadal development. Without light, it will not develop, it will not mate for a long time and will not lay eggs, so there should be a certain amount of scattered light when snails are raised.
