Earthworm, commonly known as earthworm, is a traditional Chinese medicine, which can treat a variety of diseases. With the development of extraction technology, a variety of high-tech products have emerged in recent years, such as Xuezhikang, lumbrokinase, thrombolytic capsules and so on. At the same time, earthworms are also the most ideal feed for aquaculture, and they are also used to make protein feed with broad market prospects. Earthworms have very low requirements for culture conditions, which can be cultured indoors or outdoors, not only suitable for large-scale culture, but also in wooden boxes, plastic boxes and ponds. The raw materials of earthworm breeding are all kinds of organic matter fermentation materials, such as livestock and poultry manure, leaf pericarp, rice straw and so on. Most of the earthworms suitable for artificial breeding have strong reproductive ability, and the multiplication rate is as high as 500-1000 times in a year.

Earthworm breeding technology is simple, easy to learn and operate, less daily management workload, less disease, safe and reliable. Outdoor farming, the average yield per mu is 2000kg to 4000jin, according to the average market price of 5 yuan / Jack, the average output value per mu is between 10000 yuan and 20000 yuan. On the other hand, the cost of seed and seedling fee, organic waste collection fee and Yifu source bacterial liquid (for fermentation) is less than 2000 yuan, and the cost is even lower if we collect organic waste by ourselves. After the second year, there is no need for introduction, self-purification, rejuvenation and retention of seeds, the benefit is more significant. In indoor culture, the average yield of earthworms is 10 kg 20 jin per square meter and 3300 jin per mu. According to the average market price of 5 yuan / Jack, the output value per mu is 16500 yuan ~ 33000 yuan. After deducting the depreciation fee, seedling fee, feed fee, Yifu source manure decomposing agent and labor fee, the net profit per mu is 12000 yuan ~ 28000 yuan. Earthworm manure, a by-product of earthworm breeding, is the most perfect fertilizer in the world, which integrates biological fertilizer, organic fertilizer, amino acid fertilizer, humic acid fertilizer, bacterial fertilizer and micro-fertilizer. Earthworm breeding technology is simple, low requirements, very suitable for farmers, and the market price has risen steadily in the past five years, products in short supply, is a good way to get rich. Earthworm culture has many uses.

The amino acid index of earthworms as bait for fish is better than that of bait made by other animals. The fat content of earthworms is also higher than that of other animal baits. Here are several methods for the application of earthworms in livestock, poultry and aquaculture.

1. Earthworms raise prawns. Mussel meat and frozen white shrimp are usually used as bait for shrimp culture, and the cost is very high. However, the experiment of feeding with earthworms showed that each shrimp could be fed with 5 grams of earthworms. Earthworms spit out yellow syrup and mucus after entering the water for about 2 seconds, wriggle and crawl in the sea water, catch worms and eat them all within 1 hour. The purple shrimp feces after digesting earthworms were excreted after 1-3 hours. It was observed that the shrimp had normal digestion and rapid ovarian development, and laid 105000 ~ 507000 eggs after a few days, but the ovaries of the shrimp fed with mussel meat only began to develop at the same time.

Mussel meat and frozen white shrimp decay quickly in the sea water, often affecting the water quality, resulting in a large number of shrimp death, its survival rate is only 25%. Since earthworms can survive in sea water for at least 12 to 30 minutes, and the protective solution secreted by earthworms does not decay 3 hours after death, it is not easy to pollute the water quality, and the survival rate of shrimp is increased by 55%.

2. The laying hens were fed with 15% earthworms in the mixed feed for 10 days, the egg production increased by 175 grams, the average weight of each egg increased by 1.7 grams, and the feed was saved by 1.4 grams. When feeding layers with earthworms, the mixing amount should not be increased blindly, too much not only causes waste, but also affects the appetite of laying hens.

3. Earthworms raise ducks and earthworms can feed ducks raw, and the feeding amount can account for 60%-70% of the concentrate, that is, the daily feeding amount of each duck is 100g-150g. Laying rate

The weight of each egg can be increased by 50% and 15 grams per egg. The laying duck was fed with earthworms for a long time, the duck was strong, the feathers were plump and bright, and the laying period was prolonged. When meat ducks were fed with 10% earthworm powder for 45 days, the average daily gain of each duck in the test group was 10 grams higher than that in the control group.

4. Earthworm fish culture has been reported that earthworm is an ideal bait for artificial culture of river eel in white larval stage, which has good palatability and high feed efficiency. Feeding fish directly with earthworms and earthworm dung saves a lot of labor and concentrate, so it can be said to kill two birds with one stone.

5. Broiler feeding method 1: 20-30-day-old broilers were fed with 21 grams (about 30 earthworms) per day and 28 grams (about 40 earthworms) per day at 30 days old, mixed with feed. After 40 days, the average weight gain of each broiler in the experimental group was 163 grams higher than that in the control group, and the weight gain rate was 15.9%.

Method 2: broilers were fed with 12% boiled earthworms in mixed feed for 60 days, including 60 broilers in each group. Compared with the control group, the weight gain of the test group increased by 39.1%, while the ratio of feed to meat decreased by 1.07% (2.92 ∶ 1), the mortality of broilers decreased by 5%, the weight gain of the fish meal group increased by 24.39%, and the ratio of feed to meat decreased by 0.35%.
