① white jade snails will freeze to death when the temperature is below 5 ℃. Therefore, the area where the average temperature in winter is above 5 ℃ can be used as the limit for wild breeding. Wild culture can be carried out in most areas of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China.

(3) Culture technology

The choice of ① site should be leeward, shaded, moist and well drained and covered with weeds or shrubs, foothills of the jungle, slopes, hills, wilderness and idle land in front and behind the house.

② to build escape prevention facilities (a) dig trenches around the field. Around the breeding site, dig a ditch, generally 10 cm wide and 5 cm deep. Conditional ditches can store shallow water. This kind of ditch around the field can not only prevent snails from escaping, but also be used for drainage and water storage in the field. (B) planting onions, garlic, leeks and onions around the site as isolation zones, as the above plants can volatilize spicy odors and have a certain repellent effect on snails. (C) the barbed wire or plastic net is used to make an inward-turning angle to form a "┐" fence. When the snail climbs to the top, it will fall into the farm due to inconvenience to turn and the center of gravity is down. (d) making use of the snail's physiological response to high alkaline avoidance, a brick wall with a height of about 1 meter was built around the farm, and the inner wall was coated with a layer of high alkalinity concrete cement with a thickness of about 1 cm. The pH value was 11.5, and the escape prevention effect was very good.

③ should timely release young snails when the temperature begins to stabilize at 20 ℃. In Nanjing area, the age of young snails should be neat from 10 to 20 May. The suitable age of young snails is 2-3 months old, and the body weight is 5ml / m ~ 2. The stocking density is 100m / m ~ 2.
