Stone frog, also known as stone frog and stone pheasant, belongs to the amphibian frog family, distributed in Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian and other provinces of China. It is the largest edible frog in China, with fat legs, delicious meat, cool nourishment, rich in high protein and a variety of vitamins, and its comprehensive nutrition is comparable to that of soft-shelled turtle. According to the Compendium of Materia Medica, stone frogs have the functions of nourishing and strengthening the body, clearing the heart and moistening the lungs, nourishing yin and reducing fire, invigorating the liver and stomach, tonifying deficiency, relieving heat toxin, resolving poison sores, etc., especially suitable for those who are weak and upset with mouth dryness after illness, mainly for the treatment of thin tuberculosis and diarrhea in children.

Due to excessive capture and the deterioration of the ecological environment, the number of wild stone frogs is decreasing. In order to protect the wild resources of stone frog, and at the same time develop this traditional treasure to meet the market demand, breeding research has been carried out in various places, and certain results have been achieved. In this paper, several key technologies in stone frog culture are introduced as follows:

1 suitable culture environment

The breeding farm was built in the mountain area with sufficient water source and quiet environment to simulate the ecological environment of wild stone frog, so as to be suitable for the growth of stone frog. It requires a series of external environmental conditions suitable for stone frog habitat, feeding, reproduction and so on.

2. Cultivate sufficient bait

The food of stone frog includes animal bait and plant food resources, mainly animal bait, including aquatic insects, shrimp, crabs, Cladocera, copepods, etc., and plants consist of algae, moss, ferns and higher plant leaves. Under the condition of artificial culture, animal feeds such as fly maggots, yellow powder worms and earthworms were used as the main bait. And obtained by artificial cultivation, therefore, sufficient bait must be cultivated to meet the growth needs of stone frogs.

(3) controlling the reasonable culture temperature.

It is reported that the water temperature has a great influence on the emergence rate of stone frog eggs, and 2l~23 ℃ is the most suitable water temperature for hatching. When the water temperature is higher than 25 ℃, abnormal seedlings begin to appear when the water temperature is higher than 25 ℃, and 32 ℃ is the lethal water temperature for hatching. Therefore, when the eggs hatch in summer, the flow of water and the amount of dissolved oxygen should be increased.

The water temperature for the growth of stone frog is 12: 29 ℃, and the optimum temperature is 18: 22 ℃. When the air temperature exceeds 37 ℃, the water level should be deepened, the water depth should be kept 10-20cm, and the running water should be raised to strengthen heat prevention and cooling. The pool and feed table should be disinfected regularly, especially in the high temperature season in summer, stone frogs should eat vigorously, and should do a good job in heat prevention and disinfection prevention in order to reduce the occurrence of diseases.

4. Pay attention to the disease control of stone frog.

Disease prevention should be based on prevention, and diseased frogs should be isolated and treated in time. The main diseases are bacterial septicemia (red leg disease), rotten skin frog (vitamin deficiency syndrome), gastrointestinal diseases and parasitic diseases. It can be prevented and treated by soaking in 10PPM potassium permanganate and oral administration of norfloxacin, sulfonamides and other anti-inflammatory and antibacterial drugs.
