The larvae grow rapidly and can sell commercial insects in a short time, which is the key to reduce the breeding cost of Tenebrio Molitor and obtain the expected economic benefits. To achieve this goal, efforts must be made in the following areas:

(1) to create a suitable growth environment for all states of Tenebrio Molitor. According to the growth habits of each state of Tenebrio Molitor, adults, eggs, larvae and pupae were placed in different environments. The specific method is that the breeding room is divided into several sections, the adults and the mature larvae of breeding are placed in one area, and the room which can maintain a high constant temperature is set as an independent incubator to hatch the eggs; the well-ventilated place is used as the Eclosion area of pupae, and the rest is used as larva culture area.

(2) when receiving eggs, it is best to use egg paper. A piece of egg receiving paper is placed in each egg laying box, and when receiving eggs, the egg receiving paper in 8 egg laying boxes is made into an incubator, which can ensure the temperature in the incubator so that the eggs can hatch into small larvae in as short a time as possible. it can also save a lot of wheat bran and culture boxes.

(3) A large area of wheat bran is better for receiving eggs and feeding larvae, so as to ensure that there is sufficient oxygen supply in the box after the eggs hatch, so that the larvae can grow rapidly. You can sift the bought bran through a 12-mesh sieve. This ensures that the egg can grow into a larva of about 1.5 cm within about 40 days after receiving the egg.

(4) the feeding method is the key to determine the growth rate of larvae. In general, it is necessary to master the following according to the time: there is enough wheat bran in the incubator within 35-40 days after receiving the eggs. at this time, you should be diligent in observing the small larvae after hatching. when you find that there is a worm slough on the surface of the box, you should add some vegetables every two days. vegetables with cabbage heart and leaves are better, do not feed chopped vegetables, appropriate less, can not be picked out, after the larvae grow up to eat. When a large number of worms are found on the surface of the box, be sure to feed vegetables every day. When the original wheat bran in the box is used up, it is necessary to screen out insect dung and supplement it with new wheat bran. After about 60 days, the larva has begun to molt for the fifth time, and can be divided into boxes after exuviating. After dividing the box, the larvae are fed wheat bran every 4 days or so, and vegetables are fed once a day. In the hot weather, the larvae can be fed vegetables once a day in the morning and evening to adjust the temperature and humidity in the box. However, it should be noted that the amount of food fed each time should be finished within three hours. Within half a month to 20 days after parting, observe the growth of the larvae and divide them into boxes at the right time in order to immediately obtain commercial insects that meet the standard for sale.
