Water earthworms look like earthworm larvae. Belongs to the annelid aquatic oligohair class, the body color is bright red or bluish gray, slender, generally about 4 cm long, up to 10 cm.

1. Choose the place. Choose waste ditches and ponds with good water quality, rich in organic matter, 0.5-1 m water depth and slow flow. It is best to lay concrete to remove the silt from the bottom of the pool before use.

2. Management. It is best to maintain micro-running water in the culture pond to ensure fresh water quality, sufficient dissolved oxygen and pH value between 5.6 and 9. A firm filter cloth is set at the inlet and outlet to prevent miscellaneous fish and enemies from entering.

3. Planting. You can fish for silk earthworms in waste ditches and breed earthworms 25-50 kg per mu of water.

4. Feed. Feed once every 3 days, diluted with 100kg concentrate and 1200 kg cow dung per mu each time. The concentrate needs to be fermented, first add water to mix the feed (add water to hand-held feed, loose energy for the degree), closed fermentation for 15-20 days before use.

5. Fattening. Choose the sludge rich in organic detritus as the raw material of the culture medium, spread it at the bottom of the pond according to the thickness of 10 cm, and add some bagasse under the sludge. Then soak in water and apply 300-400 kg of human and animal manure per mu as base fertilizer. Before releasing worms, each mu of rice bran, wheat bran and flour were mixed with 30 kg of rice bran, wheat bran and flour and put into the pond.

6. Harvest. Generally, it can be harvested about 30 days after planting. Harvest method: release most of the pool water, so that the remaining pool water in a state of hypoxia, such as silk earthworms floating in clusters on the surface, with 24-mesh net fishing. The daily fishing amount should not be too large, in order to catch the silk earthworms that complete the regiment. The silk earthworms collected can be used as feed after disinfection, and can also be made into mixed feed for dry processing.
