Miniature bonsai of fruit trees generally need to be carefully managed for 3 to 4 years before they can blossom and bear fruit. in order to promote the early fruiting of bonsai, the author can achieve the effect of planting and fruiting of fruit trees in the same year through the following three methods.

First, the method of leaning and joining of potted fruit trees of kernel fruit and drupe.

Apple, pear, apricot, Hawthorn, persimmon, jujube and other fruit trees, first of all, select rootstocks suitable for local environmental conditions, developed roots, strong affinity with scions, and no diseases and insect pests. Apple uses Shanding, begonia; pear, du pear; Hawthorn red; plum with peach, plum, hairy cherry; apricot had better use mountain apricot; persimmon uses Junqianzi; jujube uses sour jujube. Secondly, the rootstocks that have been poted for more than a year and are long and thick enough are padded and tied to the varieties that want to be in the right position of the mother tree. The fruiting branches with good posture and many flower buds should be selected, and the thickness of the rootstock is similar to that of the mother tree. The abutment part of the mother tree and the rootstock are cut to the xylem with a sharp knife in early spring, the cut should be smooth and straight, with a length of 3 to 5 cm, and the cambium on both sides should be aligned as far as possible. After 4 to 5 months, the interface is completely healed, the lower part of the binding part of the fruiting branch can be cut off, and the upper part of the binding part of the rootstock can be cut off, and a pot of fruit tree bonsai can be obtained.

Second, the grape high-altitude pressing method is combined with the autumn pruning of grapes, and the fruiting mother branches with strong growth, good characters and no diseases and insect pests are selected to cut and slow down. After the beginning of spring, peel 5 cm around the place where you want to take root, and make the mother vine (branch) pass through the enlarged flowerpot drain hole, fix the flowerpot, fill the pot with moist and fertile culture soil, and often water and moisturize. One month later, cut off 1/2 of the mother vine (branch) under the flowerpot and cut off all the fruit before ripening. Cut off the excess branches and leaves and remove the flowerpot, that is, a pot of grapes hanging fruit.

This method can also be high-pressure pomegranate, figs, oranges, but must choose to have flower buds can bear fruit of the mother branch.

3. Pomegranate green wood cutting method in mid to late June, pomegranate branches are semi-lignified, when buds appear, cut off the branches with buds, then insert them into a basin filled with moist bran ash (rice husk fired), then pour water thoroughly, put them in the shade for about 15 days, then send out a small amount of fibrous roots, try not to hurt the roots as far as possible, carefully move them into the pots with 1/2 each of rice bran ash and culture soil, and back shade 2 to 3 days later. Put semi-shaded place for about 7 days, gradually from weak light to strong light, about 20 days, planting in 10 to 12 cm basin normal maintenance.

In the above methods, we must pay attention to fixing the fruit trees and flowerpots to prevent the wind from shaking the branches, affecting the wound healing and root growth, and ensuring adequate fertilizer and water at the same time. The mother tree should choose good quality, bright color and beautiful fruit shape.
