A, the characteristics of the beautiful frog:

The beautiful frog is a kind of large edible frog. In order to cooperate with the construction of the "vegetable basket" project in China, it was introduced into China from Florida in 1997. The body weight of the beautiful frog is 5-7 times that of the ordinary frog, and it has the characteristics of docile temperament, less investment, fast growth (in the same year, the benefits of breeding in the same year), more reproduction, wide diet, easy feeding and less disease. Its market demand is large, and the prospect of breeding is very good.

B, the construction of the beautiful frog field:

The choice of the frog site is best not to occupy farmland. Should make full use of barren beaches, swamps or in front of the house, behind the house, courtyard and other places can be. The farm must be convenient for entry and drainage, and nylon nets or other barriers should be used around to prevent frogs from escaping and their enemies. The fence is 1 meter high and the lower end can be buried in 20 centimeters of soil.

C, the construction of the beautiful frog pool:

Generally, it is appropriate to build four frog ponds, which are divided into frog ponds, hatching ponds, tadpole ponds and adult frog ponds. The area of each frog pond is 10-25 square meters, 3-6 square meters, 30-70 square meters, 130-180 square meters, and the water depth is 30-50 cm, 40-60 cm, 50-70 cm, 60 cm respectively. The size of the frog ponds can be determined according to the culture area. All ponds should have the conditions of drainage and irrigation, the inlet and outlet of the water should be sealed with sand net, the male and female of parent frogs should be released in 2-3 pairs per square meter at 1:1, and 2 eggs per square meter in the hatching pond.

D, tadpole period management:

The American frog lays eggs in February to the south of the Yangtze River, lays eggs in March-April to the north of the Yangtze River, and lays eggs in spring and autumn every year. The spawning time is generally at 4-6 o'clock in the morning. Breeders should pay attention to patrolling the farm when the frog lays eggs. Within 40 minutes after spawning, the eggs should be caught in containers such as enamel pots or plastic pots for hatching, and tadpoles can be hatched in 3-4 days. Tadpoles can not be released after hatching, and tadpoles can not be caught from the hatching pond until the yolk sac disappears and can be actively fed. Soybean meal, bean cake powder, rice bran, bean dregs, peanut cake, fish meal and silkworm pupa powder are suitable for bait, and should be combined with a variety of trace elements to increase nutrition. With the gradual growth of tadpoles, the feeding density should be gradually reduced. It takes about 75 days for tadpoles to hatch into young frogs.

E. feeding and management of adult frogs:

After metamorphosis, the stocking density of young frogs is about 80-100 per square meter. the bait is suitable for small earthworms, yellow powder insects, housefly maggots, small miscellaneous fish, animal internal organs, etc., and cast once every morning and evening. To achieve timing, quantitative, fixed point, per 100 young frogs feeding 100-120 grams. After the young frog grows to 50 grams, the feeding density is 60 per square meter, and all the bait can be changed to full-price expanded pellet feed. Full-price feed can be tamed and fed through the "activation" method, such as a feed table made of wood, with a water depth of 20 cm, and the amount of active Loach, live fish, etc. when Loach and live fish swim, the frog mistakenly thinks that the live bait leaps up and swallows, so that the purpose of gradually domesticating the American frog to eat the dead bait can be achieved, which can be domesticated in about a month. When the body weight of the frog is more than 150 grams and the feeding density is 30-40 per square meter, the diet should contain crude protein and fine finger. Nutrients such as carbohydrates, inorganic salts and vitamins (such as earthworms, fish meal, animal offal, field snail meat, fish, shrimp, silkworm pupa, bean cake, bran, green vegetables, etc.) should be fed at 4-5pm every day. At the same time, black light should be used to trap insects from 6 to 11:00 every night to supplement animal protein feed. Beautiful frogs can be caught and sold as long as 300-500 grams.
