Earthworms are cultured in a variety of ways, which is inseparable from the symbiosis of a large number of microorganisms that help digestion in the digestive tract of earthworms. Earthworms have a strong digestive system and strong digestive ability, so many kinds of feed are used, and earthworms can be fully digested and utilized when eaten. Earthworms are mainly fed by decaying organic matter. As long as they are non-toxic, pH is not too high or too low, and salinity is not too high, the organic matter that can be decomposed under the action of microorganisms can be used as feed for earthworms. For example, livestock and poultry manure, food, paper, wood, wine and so on, even garbage, living organic matter, larvae, eggs, animal carcasses are good feed for earthworms.

Different feeds contain different nutrients, so the proportion of the formula is also different. here, let's introduce the skills of raising earthworms with cow dung.

Cow dung is a kind of dung that is most suitable to be used as feed in fecal culture, which is common in rural areas and cattle farms, so it can generally use local materials in rural areas, reduce transportation and save costs, and can be more appropriately diversified in feed. reasonable matching of nutrition. In order to raise earthworms well, we must match them scientifically.

Examples of formula:

① cow dung 50%, pulp sludge 50%

② cow dung 100% or all livestock manure mixed 100%

③ cow dung, pig manure, chicken manure 20% each, rice straw 40%; (note: chicken manure needs to be used to raise maggots or keep for more than a year before it can be used to raise earthworms, otherwise all earthworms will escape or die. )

Preparation of feed:

Fermentation: use straw and straw to spread a layer of dry material with a thickness of 10ml / 15cm, then spread 4Mel / 6cm dung on top of the dry material, repeat 5layers of dung, spray water with a kettle on each layer until the water seeps out; if garbage is used, one layer of garbage is piled up on the dung floor. No limit on length and width, and covered with film, in the higher temperature season, turn every 7 days, generally turn 3 mi 5 times to complete the feed fermentation work.

After the feed is fermented, the PH value is tested. The suitable PH value of earthworm feed is generally required to be 6mur7.5, but the PH value of many animal and plant wastes is often higher or lower than this value. When PH exceeds 9, acetic acid, salt or citric acid can be used as buffers.

The scientific proportion of feed is the most effective way to increase the yield of farmed earthworms.
