Special way of raising cattle in the United States

When I first got here, everything is new to me. We are here in the Midwest of the United States, full of farms in plymouth Nebraska Plymouth, Nebraska. There are very few Chinese living here, as if I was the only Chinese in the whole town. RossWollenburg is my fiance. March 23rd, 2013 is our wedding day. He is the farmer's son, grandson and grandson, managing three or four farms. As for me, I just arrived, and I don't know much. The only thing I can do is to follow him driving around the farms to do farm work. As it is still winter, there is nothing in the farm except cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens. It is similar to Inner Mongolia, but the houses they live in are slightly better, and they are all made of good wood, because there are many trees here, unlike the houses in China where most of the rocks are made of steel and soil. Here, the house is equivalent to three stories high, including the basement. Every family has a basement, because there are more tornadoes here, which can be shielded.

My husband enjoys life on the farm very much. Get up early every morning to feed the cattle and sheep. I found that the cattle here are kept outdoors. It is worth mentioning that no matter the wind, rain or snow, the cattle remain where they are, unlike in the country where cattle are brought out from nine to five and sleep at night. Instead of feeding cattle, they feed straw and trace amounts of iodized salt and zinc, sodium and calcium. Ross said that these microelements are equivalent to feeding biscuits to cattle, which, like us, need to be supplemented with a variety of nutrients, and the beef tastes better.

When it snowed yesterday, I saw that the cattle of various farms were kept in captivity in the fields where half the wheat poles had been cut, and occasionally ate the leftover wheat poles, where there was no shelter from the wind, and the back of the cattle was covered with a thick layer of snow. The key is that the cattle do not have any uneasy reaction and stay there very nicely. American cattle are just different and tenacious.

The writing is not good, purely out of a kind of random notes. Like to encourage, I will continue to chase and write, as small talk. It is a boundless pleasure to share my American life here. Today is my sixth day in the United States. Bye.
